    Another question about AST coilovers

I also would not be suprised if a large majority of people who buy these adjustable kits at any price point actually experiment with them? I see siezed adjustment parts - be it height or damping - all the time?

    Another question about AST coilovers

Warren, are you attending any of the RS track days next season, it would be good to compare the setups, assuming you are running KWs?

    Another question about AST coilovers

No I haven't mate, but I would like too. Your right about the valving aspect costing extra money, if you received one of the early sets that were not quite right, you are looking at more £age to get them right, when they should have just been that way in the first place.

    Another question about AST coilovers

hmm on second thoughts, having met Warren brigade sounds a bit manly, lets go with the BTM village people ;)

    Another question about AST coilovers

Ah the BTM brigade have arrived ;) lol As you say warren, these issues should never have been there to start with, I had a ali front collar fail on mine on the second day of ownership and had to get over to tewkesbury to get a replacement. In ASTs defense all the replacement parts were free of...

    Another question about AST coilovers

Jay fitted stiff springs to a soft valved set IIRC? I believe the intial batch that were produced were half finished in a rush (which was as you rightly point out was a mistake!) and the valving was not right for the 350lb springs, Curtis then addressed with with a stiff & soft set valved to...

    Another question about AST coilovers

I think I'll stick with my own experience of them, not your mates ;) I think Tony may have used Jays car on incorrectly valved front shocks IIRC, I remember jay mentioning something along those lines, in fact I don't think THE original Burpspeed car had correctly valved front dampers and springs?

    Another question about AST coilovers

Personal opinion from an owners point of view - I think they provide excellent performance & adjustability, well matched springs and damping rates if correctly valved - providing OEM comfort on the road, with minimal roll and pitch under weight transfer - I couldn't ask for much more if I'm...

    Race pad brake dust remover

Right I'm no detailing bod - bucket of water and a mitt is as about as far as I go! I've picked up some 2118s that have been used shortly with some aggressive PF97 brake pads - subsequently the troughs around the rim are well caked up. I have got a lot of the surface 'sediment' off with...

    Is a 27" imac usable?

Its a great size, push it to the back of the desk and its really comfortable to work with; massive 'canvas' to work on - I don't have one but I do have similar sized monitors :)

The best Renault Sport Clio of the decade!

172 ph1 - the car that has defined the evolutionary route for the later models. However as Inferno says the ph1 V6 is close behind for the sheer madness - something we will almost certainly never see again :(

    prima racing remap?

Just to clarify. The K-tec equipment is different from the RStuner gear. The RStuner is a fastchip mapping solution. We use a 'master' unit created by Henk for ourselves, and we pay frequent visits to him at his RR facility in Holland to help develop the maps we apply to the the 1*2 cars. The...
