just above the centre section exhaust there is a heat sheild held on by 30torx screws. remove this and there is a threaded bar with the cables attached to a bracket. you wind in the 13m nut to adjust it up. have a look and you will see what i mean.
the aircon compressor is switched off under full load on the normal ecu. maybe the group n ecu changes these parameters slightly and switches off the aircon early for some reason.
the renault traction control control system couldnt be fitted to a phase 1 very easily as the phase 1 doesnt have multiplex or the correct abs computer or abs block. there is however a few aftermarket launch control systems that you could fit.
some of the new clio models with electric pas keep the same aux belt etc as the fluid pas systems but you a dummy pulley instead of the pas pump. maybe you could use this so you wouldnt have to mess about finding a different aux belt etc. all you would need to do then is to change the steering...
traction control applies the brake to the spinning wheel which as well as preventing the spin will cause the power to go to the other wheel which has traction. it also reduces engine torque if nes.
sometimes stripping the brakes and winding back in the pistons helps. also put some lubricant behind the rubber gaitors on the rear of the calipers. may need new calipers if that doesnt work. think you can get them for about £60 each exchange at some places.
not really because the cup has uprated springs and dampers as well. the wheel offset also provides a wider track. you would be best to just uprate your suspension. your steering wheel should be straight after an allignment check or at least they should have straightened it. maybe the 17s are...
the settings will be different. you can adjust tracking, you could adjust camber with some k-tec camber correction bolts but the castor cant be adjusted.
the thing with the hillpower kit is that its not fully enclosed. its like an open kit protected by heatsheilds with an extra air feed so with this one you get a decent amount of induction noise like a fully open ik kit. pleased with mine anyway and im sure it made a slight difference.
defo possible. you just need all the pas components off a mk 1 phase 1 or 2 clio inc the mounting bracket on the engine for the pump, the crank pulley and the pas belt.
mines never been really boomy but it is getting louder. seems to be a bit louder when its hot as well. not sure on the mids meeting yet as its a bit far for me.
any pics. there will be the injection coolant temp sensor and the instrument panel temp gauge sensor. not sure on the third sensor/connector unless its the oxygen sensor connector. some pics would help if you can mate.
i must admit mine is getting louder than it was when i first fitted it. I was thinking of going to the mids meet but it is quite a way for me to travel so i dont know yet.
They have uprated springs, shockers and the wheel offset is different. Be cheaper though just to get some ebiach springs. they wont make a major difference to ride height but they would improve the handling.
