gear oil isnt changed on services anymore they are considered filled for life now. There was a tech note released a while ago which said to try some new gear oil first before dismantling the gearbox.
yes a little bit. the striker plate is secured by some 30 torx screws. try it but some models have only very slight adjustment possible. you need to move the striker plate in towards the car if you can.
you would need a lock ordering from renault to key number or fit a complete lock set. only other way is youll have to have a universal lock barrel which means one lock will have its own key.
the diet engine is rarer than the energy engine but you would have to ring around to see what you can get for it. You can get an ik for them i know that for sure.
Your level will change compared to when the engine is hot or cold. I would keep an eye on it and if the level doesnt drop a lot and stay low then its ok. The level will change with engine temp so you could have a look at the level in the morning when the engine is cold. If after youve checked it...
4 or 3 wire? not sure what you mean. i should think the mirror has about 6 wires going to it. the mirror has two motors in it and a heating element so i would have thought at least 6 wires to it. hasnt your car got electric mirrors on it then?
look down the front of the engine near the alternator. there is a pressure switch screwed into the pas oil pipe. have a look at that because there commen for leaking in fact mine leaks i just cant be arsed to change it.
it might be a model with the timed cooling fan than automatically comes on for approx ten minutes after youve turned the engine off so it cools down faster.
each runner on either side of the roof has its own notched cable(the springy things you referred to in another topic). one of these has probably snapped. i posted the seal part numbers a while ago have a look. sounds like you need a new mechanism so it may be cheaper to buy a complete sunroof...
is it a clio 2 or clio 1. if its an oldish clio so clio 1 then the above link looks good. if its a clio 2 so the 1.2 16v lump then have a look on the k-tec site.
electric or manual sunroof?
renault say they can use up to 1 litre of oil per 650 miles. the amount of oil between min and max is about 1 litre so two blocks of the oil gauge isnt much as the gauge when it has all the blocks out means its actually on the min level on the actual dipstick.
the high rpm is a defect setting used by the computer if a sensor goes into open circuit. most likely a potentiometer fault but that doesnt explain the weird readings from the temp gauge. maybe there is a wiring problem. best let your dealer have a look eh.
most garages will charge you a set diagnostic fee of about £35 and whatever they find you could replace yourself as youve said. i could get you the part number for the bush but seeing as youve got to go and fetch it you might as well just let them look it up. make sure you take your reg or...
