    TomTom on iPhone

When apple allow background applications. (don't hold your breath)

    Mac vs. PC.

My thought is that it sounds like you're trolling. Pay your money and take your choice, simple. (btw, a mac mini would eat through what you've listed as requirements)

    One question iPhone/iPT thread.

Re: iPhone Software 3.0 Discussion (New hardware Expected 9/6/2009) Humn. Mine crashes approx 33% of the time when a text comes in...also if I have the conversation open and a text comes in then it doesn't appear, I have to exit the conversation and go back in. Nothing else seems unstable in...

    One question iPhone/iPT thread.

Re: iPhone Software 3.0 Discussion (New hardware Expected 9/6/2009) I wouldn't bother. The messages application is now super crash-tastic.

    Help with TVs

The hitachi tv listed above your source would have to be either VGA or HDMI as it doesn't have any analogue inputs. I have the 37" version of that tv and it's plugged directly into my Sky HD box, I was actually specifically looking for a good screen without tuner as I wouldn't use it.

Looking for some cheap hosting with free Domain ?

Their servers are fairly slow, other than that I have no particular issues with them. There was a security issue a year or go when they messed up permissions too.

    Dash Relay problem.

I'm guessing it's the relay closest to the engine bay because I've just been out to the car and checked and it was pretty much all the way out! Pushed it back in, hopefully problem solved. The missus will be getting a stern talking to about where she puts her feet in the future. :D

    Dash Relay problem.

My 172 (Ph2) seems to be developing a fault, one of the relays is clicking every so often, if I go around a left hand bend then it goes mental, if I go over a bump then the relay clicks too and will cause all the dash lights to go off for a fraction of a second. Could be a dodgy fuse, but...

    Quick Sky+ question

You need to give them the serial number of the box so the can pair your card with it, just phone them and say you've been given a Sky+ box and they'll take the serial number from you and activate your card so the premium channels work again.

Use IAX between you and your VoIP provider and you only need a single port open. :) Asterisk bloody rocks.

    Serial Splitter

Cool. As TX is shorted on both 9 ways, if you need to transmit (i.e to program) you'd need to unplug one of them as both PC's will be driving the TX signal. Alternatively you could not wire TX on the 9 ways but this would prevent you from using this cable as a programming cable. If the...

This cable is only "one way" isn't it? i.e the PC is not sending any data to the phone system?

    Serial Splitter

By the sounds of what he is wanting to do he wants null modem style cable anyway. /---> Slave 1 RX (Pin 2) Host TX (Pin 3) -| \---> Slave 2 RX (Pin 2) /---> Slave 1 GND (Pin 5) Host GND (Pin 5) -| \--->...

    voip servers

We use SIP only, we have the capability at our providers end to handle failover to PSTN, but we don't bother - our DSL goes down very rarely, infact we've been SIP only for about 2 years now. If our phone lines were "mission critical" then it wouldn't really be advisable, but they're not and it...

    voip servers

For sure. Although voipfone can be configured to provide automatic fallover to route calls to a landline should our PBX become unregistered from their servers, doesn't help mid call as it'd be dropped, but it does provide a bit of a backup if that's important. So, to recap, trixbox rules...

    voip servers

We use voipfone for our incoming lines, outgoing calls go via another provider - although you can set up whatever rules you like and route outgoing calls through whatever trunk you want depending on rules you've configured, so US calls could go through a US VoIP provider, UK calls through a UK...

    voip servers

We did have analogue lines coming into it, but there's very little point in paying BT for them to terminate in that way, so I migrated most of our numbers to VOIP (fax/dsl excluded obviously). Trixbox is very good and has all the options under the sun depending on how you want to configure it...
