There is no reason not to compare them. They are both cars and are both hatchbacks. I'm not sure what cateogry you think the V6 belongs in, if not with Golfs, Meganes etc.

I'd still prefer to see a SC Clio v a turbo'd Clio.

I'm not sure any manufacturer, apart from the Americans (less so now) design their cars with the quarter mile as their main focus, so this rule applies to 90% of road cars, probably all. Whether the V6 is a better road car than the 1*2's is debatable. If you like it, fair enough. Off the line...

Supercharged, I think. The V is slow for a reason.

It would be interesting to see the performance comparisons between the turbo conversion and the supercharged conversion. Also throw in a standard Sport to put it in perspective.

Not sure they all sound s**t! And there are plenty of chavs in Clios these days as they are dirt cheap to buy. Did you just say an STi wouldn't be able to pull much on a Clio, once moving?
