:lolup:All anyone has basically said is that ABS is not crucial in order to stop a car.
Judging by the amount of posts you have written, I think it will be you that's up late on the interwebz.
Fair enough. I didn't buy my car for the track, so whatever is faster there doesn't interest me.
Tracks are all about the driver and their ability. A couple of seconds printed in a magazine means nothing to someone with average ability.
Didn't the diesel Seats win lots of touring car...
I know, they run out of revs super quick but that's because the power and torque arrives so early but they have 6 gears. They already out-drag 1*2's in a quarter mile, so remapping will make a considerable difference.
And they actually rev round to 5k quite easily, although power has gone by...
£6000 pounds for approx 70bhp...what a complete waste of cash!! (IMO) It will also increase your insurance a fair whack, I would think and fuel costs will jump.
I'm sure it's fun and all but I can think of much better fun to be had for £6K, cars included.
Should be getting mine done shortly. Should be good for approx 200bhp and 300 torques, so an increase of around 35bhp and 50lbs/ft of torque.
Clio killer!
Be your own man and drive what you want, dude! Diesels are not to be sniffed at, as people are never too sure what they are running. As they can be cheaply modded with large increases, they can be stealthy weapons.
You should be able to get an 80 mapped to around 100bhp with a healthy...
I saw 30mpg (just) in my 3.0 BMW. A 2.0 should be good for mid 30's with mixed driving, imo. Suppose it depends on how tuned the engine is and the driving of course.
It's funny all the people who think the lack of ABS is just outright dangerous! How did we ever manage for the past 100 years without it? Or did every car before ABS was invented find a bush or wall as soon as the there was reason to brake?
I had my Cup for 5 years and locked the brakes once...
I don't think cars should be available in these colours unless they circa 500hp and have a prancing horse on the front or similar. However, the 182 does look quite nice in LY.
Orange ST looks gash!
The 170 Golf is rapid! I was looking at these so managed to get a drive in one. It would have no problem with a Cliosupersport. However, they are not worth circa £20,000!
