The wider tread will tend to 'tramline' more.
But just because the tread is wider, it doesn't automatically mean more grip than the 195's.
My Cup on 195's grips harder than the missus 182 on 205's.
I led into the first corner iirc? ;) Im a good 14 stone.....give or take 3 stone...:clown:
Im gonna do another one this year so you can inflict some pay-back....
Brands in May it is i think Tony. Can you get me into hospitality? :D
Re: The lowwwwwww ph2 remake - Progress Thread
Im sorry but Jord did it so well that i don't think anyone else can do it again.....its just not the same.
Jords was so low that whilst on the way to Sarahs in the Isle Of Man, negotiating a nasty little speed bump, it ground out and knocked it...
Does your car have any significant upgrades? If not then its really just worth sticking to OE pads from Renault and decent fluid.
Unless the car is producing modest power (i.e enough to necessitate needing fast road or track orientated pads) then its not worth wasting your money.
If you do...
I've gone back to OE pads from EBC Shitestuffs. Worked fine on track for me as well.
As long as you have adequate cooling and don't drive like a noob i.e overdoing it, then the OE pads stand up well on track.
Im seriously slacking. I've only just had a look at this project!
Extremely impressed gents. Will have to try and get along to one of your race meetings this year.
Lets just hope you both do better than you did Karting....;)
I think maybe a combo of urban traffic driving and (dare i say it) poor fuel isn't helping.
They are a bit sensitive to the way they are driven.
They do go, in a way, 'tight' if they don't get stretched. I find mine always responds better after a good hard run.
Not often.....maybe twice a week...
Well the extra work the engine is doing to power the pump. Im wondering whether it has any bearing on oil consumption.
Obviously it won't be the primary cause but it might be contributing.
If its not burning or leaking it....where does it go?
Yeah maybe. What fuel do you run it on? Does it get run hard ALL of the time or just once or twice a week?
Also depends on your type of running. Lots of short, cold running journeys or does it get nice and warm?
Edit: How many 'runs' can you get in a post? lol
No, the top mark of the dipstick is where it should be after an oil change and thats where it should remain.
Obviously its not the end of the world if it drops to half way but the top mark is where it should be.
Well Clare's (my other half) 182 has a similar drink problem. Can fill it to the top mark of the dipstick and it will be back down to halfway ish within about 6 weeks or so.
I had to re-seal the cam cover bolts a good 2 years back as they were leaking but this didn't really cure it, but we...
I can better that.
Mate of mine did an air filter change on his old Fiesta Poplar years ago and for weeks after couldn't find his glasses.
Went to fill his screen wash up and found them sat on the filter housing.
True story.
Its the sound of 2nd gear screaming for mercy and using the shattered remnants of 1st gear to break its way out of the gearbox casing and to freedom.....
More the merrier mate. Get them along

I work in Weybridge Business Park so pass thru that way every morning although i was stupidly late yesterday due to various traffic jams!
Usually see a Blue 182 and a 172 Cup most mornings thru there.
I know the paint code for Monaco Blue code is 432 but it turns out that there are about FIVE versions of this colour that Nexa/ICI Autocolour list for Renault.....all with subtle shade differences.
For Renaults between 96-03
Monaco Blue/Bleu Methyl
432 - No 1
432 - Variant L
432 - Variant V...
