Saw a nice black 172 heading towards Heavitree today, by the Rifford Road junction.
And, a LY 182 on the roundabout by Tesco's - looked lovely, although not sure I like this colour as much as I used to.
First RS' I've seen around Exeter for a while...
If you can afford the insurance (should actually bring it down slighter having her on it) then get her learning in the 172 mate.
My missus drove my 172 whilst on a provisional and she's always found it very easy and to drive / control at speed. It's made her a better driver for it, too.
Lol, the amount of times I see 'Trophy Blue' on a 1*2 advert is crazy.... "uh, yeah mate, it's one of those really rare blue Trophy's....".
Nice one mate, looks pretty good, and a bargain if your budget has stayed put.
If your max budget is £3k then I'd really stick to a Ph1 172 matey - you can get ph2 172's and Cups for this kind of money now, but they're not going to be the best examples around.
Also, it's a pretty big risk buying a 172, especially a Cup, without viewing first IMO. I viewed some 'mint'...
From what I've heard, there's no real benefit to performance but is just easier to make a nicer noise from it. Plus, it looks cooler than the ph2 box!
So, as long as it's not the square box, I should be okay. Seeing as there's a ph1 172 box without clips for sale on here for £20, I could be on...
I enjoyed putting a rep-mobile 320d in his place today after the cheely sod tried taking a shortcut to get ahead of me, failing, and then deciding to go into the wrong lane at some lights in an attempt to cut in front on me... he filtered behind with his wife having a go at him.
That's what I'm trying to figure out mate - i'd assume that all Espace V6 airboxes would be the same, but I do know that Renault made some of them metal (I don't know whether the one I've found is plastic or metal).
I think I'll give them a call and ask for them to confirm if it's plastic.
To bring this thread back to life... I've located a '94 Espace 2.9 v6 airbox, with all the trimmings / fixings. Will this be okay? There seems to be a metal and plastic box - with either do?
I've not got a part number to hand, as it's from a scrappy, but all advice appreciated.
But surely you'll want to find a way of saying that the engine is genuinely lower miles than the speedo says, without putting off buyers? It can be a positive selling point if approached correctly.
That link's nothing to do with the connects2 mate, it looks like some people have managed to make the update list work in tuner list cars, but sod trying that on mine!
The connects2 just replaces the CD changer (if you have one) with a little box which you can connect a phono to 3.5mm jack...
Credit to coming all that way for an exhaust!
The white Clio's not their turbo, but on throttle bodies - the turbo's living a lonely life out the back! Still looks mean though.
Saw the guy turn up with his Twingo when we were there on Saturday - chavtastic comes to mind...
Good news mate, worth making sure they document 'everything', as if they don't replace the speedo then obviously this will be out, or if they do replace the speedo, then the car itself will have covered more miles than the speedo says...
A relatively small detail, but without good Renault...
Cheers mate, I've not checked one of your threads for a while, so you may have done. I know originally you thought it might be possible to do it this way, but it seems to have been covered quite a few times!
I'll have a look into connects2 - I might just bite the bullet and find a subtle...
Aye, I asked originally what car it was from and if it would fit my '03 Clio and he replied saying "yeah..." so I've just said that I've asked around and it actually won't.
I may have to take a negative feedback hit, but that's not the worse thing in the world. So, is tunepoint the only option?
Been waiting f**king ages for an Update List stereo to come up for sale and finally won one on Ebay. With the help of Floridadaz I can get my tunes back in the car... changing CD's when driving is too much hassle!
Yay. :)
Aye, met up at KTec, had a bacon roll and coffee, had a little chat with the PFC chap Ian about the cars, drove to their other unit for some piccies, back to KTec for more chatter and a looky round the project car and the 172 on ITB's - stunning.
