An incredible difference in quality and performance from engine to engine mate; your old one may have been particularly good or your new one still needs opening up a bit.
Change the oil, stick in a few tanks of decent petrol, warm her up and give a good thrashing for a few months, she'll soon...
I'm heading across from Exeter lads, leaving around half 7. Let me know if paths will cross although I have no idea of the route so will just be following TomTom...
Not noticed this project before, starting to look ace. I like the blue and white combination, it's like Christopher's 182's little brother!
White scuttle panel / mirror base plates?
You'll need to replace the cambelt and auxillary (sp?) belt - you can get it bought and fitted and specialists for around £500 if you have climate control, nearer £300 if you've not. Either way, avoid Renault stealers like the plague for this job!

That's the issue mate, the (marginally) quicker ones do not have as many toys.
With your budget, I'd suggest a 182 with Cup packs. This ensures you have as many toys as possible and it still looks the part. I prefer the looks of the 172 Cup (subtle differences), but if you're not sure if you...
Lucky break mate, as much of an arse as he was, credit due for refunding you.
Keep looking! There's too many good examples around to settle for obvious faults.
