about 15 mpg at one point...... but it was on the track at Bedford LOL :) I can cruise on the motorway @70 and get about 42mpg, and my average is about 38mpg.....

I retract my earlier statement, went to the window I search @ companies house, and my hands seem to have inserted an L in dimpex to make it Dimplex - DOH! Ok, they do exist...... although someone should aproach them about a site-renewal, and getting them a decent domain name ;-)

Just done a search and cannot find a company called Dimpex Diesel UK LTD listed at Companies House, so that would worry me slightly, could these be forged results?

You could always try Chipsaway, they are v.good at painting only what absolutely needs to be painted, no huge blends to be done, and they say theyll match ANY colour, whatever it is, including flips/pearls etc. Youd just have to get intouch with one of their guys and see if hes interested in...

ak_uk - yeah, always the way ;) Im pretty chuffed at getting the 3rd slot on the bigger photo :D , small things etc etc.

Ill be able to scan them in late tonight, but if anyone can beat me to it, be my guest :) Jas - Theres also to piccies with the write-up, Mk1 172, from the looks of the number plate, its yours matey :D

Approach your county police force, most forces do, or will do, advanced driving courses if asked nicely, I think they basically chop down the course they do for the class A training, you dont get to do certain things from that course though, like persuit etc ;) So, give them a try, at least...

The one question is, how big is the crowbar youre gonna use to get that powerplant in there? its gotta be fairly huge, I mean, with the 2l 172 engine you cant do much in that engine bay....

Well, k-tecs chip is only available for a mk1 172, so youre in luck there.... Ive not got anything bad to say about superchips, but Dave @ Power Engineering / London superChips did a custom map session for me, so its different to the standard.

Aint that the truth Mike! I was getting really concerned on the return road @York, thought Id be seeing bits of my car falling off behind me! :confused:

Well, after having to talk to Renault Customer Services, Ive just had a phone call to say that I will get the grill at the quoted cost, and Renault UK will pay the difference! RESULT :D Now, just gotta get my car in on monday, and cope with running round in a rover 25 1.4 for 3 days :(

BenR - Everywhere I phoned apart from Power Engineering said they couldnt do it! and half of them referred me to Superchips head office, who said theyd charge £150 an hour, at least 2 hours, ontop of the normal superchips cost! So, from what I found its rare to find someone who will/can actually...

Run of bad luck? - Tis but a scratch! (In true Monty Python style! :D) Well, just gotta get over this one and itll be done, then I can start talking about stoooooooooopid power mods again :devilish:
