Just like any accident on a rally stage with spectators around.
In fact its the same for any motorsport involving spectators, hence all those signs saying DANGER. MOTORSPORT IS DANGEROUS!
You won't last till the end of tomorrow without cleaning it! Mines dirtier than yours....i may park it in the workshop tomo and let it dry out. It'll go white i'd imagine.
Driving fast in this weather with the roads like they are is lunacy.
If you get your car written off by some other numpty....thats sad and i have sympathy.
If you write your car off by putting it into the scenery....thats stupid and i laugh at the stupidness.
Much love!
Me and a guy i work with had a bit of a play with a Z4 M on some of the stretches of dual carriageway in Norfolk, me in an Exige 190 and him in a 2-Eleven and i really did have to work very hard just to stay in touch with them both!
The Exige is a fantastic track car thanks to its aero kit and those semi slick Yoko AO48's but obviously the GT3 has it on outright grunt.
What would be interesting to see is an Exige S PP against a GT3 RS.
Both can do 0-60 in about 4.0 secs and 0-100 in about 9.0 secs.....
Groan....so am i gonna have to try and explain to the guy from Spit & Polish exactly how you'll be wanting these wheels little bro?
Oh joy!
Look good tho.
Ahhh....thats put a grin on my face.
Dogged little Exige making a 911 work for its reputation.....quite right too.
Im pretty sure an Exige S PP would make a fool out of it.
It took me two goes in a 197 to fully appreciate the chassis. Second go was in an R27 so the improvements were even more obvious.
Its just let down by its size and therefore the extra weight. Im sure if you bunged that motor in a 182/172 it would feel fantastic but its underpowered in the 197...
Not sure of dogbone mount prices if im honest. Might just be a case of having to undo the front offside mount and shifting the engine forwards (or is it backwards?) as that can sometimes cure it.
Do some searching on here...its a well known problem.
My cup is suffering from a knocking during...
Thats known as axle tramp. Its the up and down deflection of the front wheels when you spin them up too fast in the wet. It makes a banging sound.
The banging when changing down is probably due to the dogbone mount which is at the rear of the engine underneath the car.
Holy sh1t on a stick. Thats a big one.
Very pleased to hear you guys got out and are fully intact.
On the plus side you get a 9.5 for car part distribution, a 9.0 for flips done and a 9.0 for your landing.
You lose style points as the thing is a touch muddy.
Need to replace one on the Cup as it has a serious leak but has anyone replaced one and found the handling is unbalanced due to the other not being fresh?
Actual experience rather than pure opinions please.....no offence intended!:)
Had a grrrreat day yesterday. MOT booked for 1.30 and me thinking it would sail thru....hmmm..no such luck.
Was told, to my embarrassment as i always keep on top of any problems with my car, that the N/S/R shock had a major leak.:(
Sure enough its pi55ing out but it has only started over the...
Cold dense air + fuel = a bigger bang.
But its all relative. With the sh*t salt they put down the roads offer barely more traction than if they were covered in ice, so you can't exactly utilise the extra oooopmh.
1. Cobra Daytona's
2. Cat back Stealth system. Manufacturer yet to be decided.
3. Try to find the cure to rid the knocking i have so 2 new engine mounts and possibly 2 new lower arms.
4. Ported and flowed inlet.
5. Headunit upgrade with Ipod link.
6. Possibly a 2nd set of Turini's in a different...
Was pleasantly surprised to see some Group B stuff in EVO this month.
Kinda grew up with Group B and rallying in general as my dad worked for the support crew for the T16's for a short time and also did some national event stuff in a Talbot Samba.
The pinnacle for motorsport along the Turbo...
