very true fella. Trackdays, although fun, I can imagine become a bit tiresome after while. Competition sorts that right out. :D
suspension will be the other cost (unless you're running a decent set atm).
so jealous of all you guys :( really wish I could afford the 5-10K per year to run in something like this. Setup costs are worst. I would imagine all the FIA requirements will set you back a few grand. Good luck with it though Nick. Hopefully the build goes well. Who you doing it with?
Surely a GSF standard OE one (Valeo maybe) would be fine mate. TBH the factory fit ones are good really, its usually the GB that gives, not the clutch ;)
I'd do an oil pressure test first mate. Could be a pressure switch or a pump issue? Although saying that, the bottom end would be less effected by this. Seems a bit strange though. Was the engine out of a crashed car? just wondering if there was some underlying damage that's taken a while to...
^^ as above. Fit them with correct renault locking tools, and then have them mapped to get the best out of them. I think Piper run ok off standard management, so shouldn't be too expensive. The cost will be from removing/replacing cambelt kit and aux kit (which is a must really).
