Mines down there at the mo getting it fitted with 421s and itb's :) should be getting it back Saturday.
850kg is ambitious mate, think you may struggle. Get some smaller wheels to help ;)
nice work fella, keep it up :). Just a thought though. Would it not be a good idea to focus on the body work/chassis damage initially? You got any videos of the crash?
as mike said, relays would be the best place to start. Also have a look to see if the fuel pump is recieving enough power. The relays you're looking for are square. (there are 4 of them in the box)
Re: Jon's trackday MK1 172 project thread
Nice work Jon. I'm loving the bright red bottom end. Would love to do this myself, but doing it in situ would be a right pain in the arse. What did you clean it up with before hand?
the level or the oil?
Level check, all you do is remove the wing nut on the front of the box when the car is on the flat. The oil should be up to the bottom of the fill hole.
depends how much trashing you give the car. Track days cars it would be worth changing more often. Every 2 years I do now, depending on how many track days I've done. It's cheap to do, and quick, so why not? Especially as the JC5 does like to fall to bits ;)
