remove the inner sunroof trim.pull down the roof lining slightly so you can undo the 10m bolts(think there is 16).remove the roof drain tubes from the frame.disconnect any moter connections.lift the plastic frame out from the top.
its a clio 2 so a williams lump wont just drop straight in.on older clios you could use the old deisal rack and pas electric pump so you could keep pas with the turbo lump.seeing as yours is a clio 2 you could try and use the electric pas system(electric moter on the column) used in clio 2 phase...
This particular earth is for the engine components only. Injection components are sensitive and easily affected by poor earths. If the strap is corroded then water will affect it. Defo sounds like water is getting in somewhere. Have you checked things like the distributor cap?
mainly but not always.have done a clio at work with esp but rear drums.as long as you have abs you can have esp.esp just uses a abs hydraulic block with extra solenoids,an extra yaw sensor,steering angle sensor and a multiplex connection between injection and abs.
there is an earth strap from the end of the gearbox casing to the n/s inner wing.i think there is one on the engine somewhere as well but i cant remember where(probably on the back of the head somewhere)
What about giving the ecu connector a clean with some electrical cleaner? Have a look at all wiring in general to see if the protective sheathing has split anywhere allowing water in the loom.
if its locked up with the water then youll have a nice set of bent con rods.have you tried removing the plugs to get the water out and trying it,you never know you might be lucky.the bent rods would cause a drop in compression on the cylinder with the bent rod,an engine imbalance and if the head...
