ignore my previous post as you need to remove the connector to check across the injectors pins itself to get the resistance.you wouldnt get an accurate reading using the relay wire as this feeds a lot of other components as well.Never once had a problem with the cold start injector so its...
couldnt remember which make was what pad but either way the valver only uses one pad type so they shouldnt need to ask if they know what there on about.
dash rattles on clio 2s are so annoying.if its warranty then let your dealer have a look because there a pain to find sometimes.had quite a few rattles from dash tops etc.have a quick look under the bonnet or underneath the car to see if you can see anything rubbing together(eg-exhaust on...
sounds like the heater matrix is partially blocked. Not to bad to change on the older clios you dont even have to completly remove the dashboard, just unbolt it and pull it forward about 6 inches to give you room to move the heater box around slightly.
different dealers in different areas have different labour rates.unfair but thats how it is.renault only state the labour time its the dealer who set the retail labour price per hour.
as ben says cambelt off and then unbolt the cam carriers so you can remove the cams.remember to reseal the cam carrier to the head when you refit it.lift out the hydraulic tappets with a magnet or sucker.
its your car mate you do what you want, sod what anybody else thinks.we cant all afford to do everything we want at the same time so do it bit by bit.go for it,get your exhaust.
you only need to jack it up,you dont need the rear wheels off.you just remove the bottom shocker bolt and pull down the rear arm to release the spring.
are you pads held in by slides or does the caliper cover them and its bolted in place.cant remember which make is which but a 16v clio only had the bolt on type pads(bendix i think but i honestly cant remember) anyway so they shouldnt need to ask.it was only some of the 1.2 or 1.4 clios that had...
there is a clip that locates in a groove on the outer cover.this is on the battery side of the cover.get a screwdriver between the two parts so it releases the clip and pull the cover off.these can be a right pain sometimes and its difficult to explain where to exactly knock your screwdriver in...
there is a little flap in the wheel arch liner that you can lift up(covers up an access hole)and see where the cable goes through the bulkhead.the cable clips to a bracket underneath the brake master cylinder and goes across the bulkhead behind some heatsheilds.see brynos above post because hes...
sporty steering(rack ratios)normal mean an increase in the turning circle.having said that the clio 2 with the electric pas have really bad turning circles as well.
easy to replace and gear oil will pour out of the hole.
the switch is a simple on/off contact switch.remove the connector and bridge the wires(only two wires) using a paper clip. Do your reverse lights come on?(ing on remember)
the 172 has a bit of torque steer and the phase 1 may be the worse of the two(any phase 1 owners comments would be helpful)as they do feel different to drive.you could check your front suspension/steering for play/movement in bushes, balljoints, track rods etc to be on the safe side.without...
where does the bloke think the air will go i wonder.
May possibly be the new pads havent beded in yet so giving you the spongy feel but most likely there is still some air in the system that needs bleeding out.
if the engines out then you could unbolt the gearbox and have a look at the clutch plate, replace it if its getting worn to save the cost of having it done at a later date.replace the water pump, aux belt and cambelt(get the above kit as it includes the tensioner and idler pulleys).if you fit a...
get a 4 wheel allignment check done to check for sure(about £50)
your wheels will skid for a breif second when you first slam on the brakes as abs has to detect a skid before it works.your wheels skids then the abs cuts in and prevents it.depending on the surface you will get short breif...
check it at the injection ecu plug instead(one wire anyway).the other wire is fed by a relay in the relay box(injection locking relay).why are you checking the resistance?
