The arch kit replaces about 6-7 inches (upwards)of the original arch all the way along the arch(from bumper to sill). You weld them in place then smooth them into the car/rear quarter with body filler. These are the only real long lasting repair you can do other than replace the rear quarters.
What a load of tripe eh. If the original vehicle earths and straps are clean and securely fixed then that wont do naff all. The only way you would notice a difference if is your original earths are poor(corroded etc) but you would know that anyway because it would affect all the under bonnet...
Thats the one. It has a hook/clip on a threaded bar that hooks into the cover. You wind the bar using a wheel with holes in it until the hook/clip moves along the bar and releases from the cover. The cover then pulls off. To refit it you wind the hook/clip back to its original position. You then...
On the end of your gearbox there is a white or black metal cover which houses 5th gear. Underneath this housing screwed into the gearbox casing is the reverse switch. Its normally green or orange in colour.
The bump strips req painting. New ones from renault come unpainted (black or grey).
Hows that GR. I will remember one day. I am outside your office and need punishing.;)
the pads stick to the discs when they get wet. when you release the handbrake the noise is the pads coming unstuck as you pull off. this seems normal for the 172 but it is a bit crap i must admit. ive had other cars in the past with rear discs/pads and theyve never done it. bloody renaults im...

The labour time for front pads is 0.6 hrs for fronts and 0.9hrs for rears. Scudettos price seems an average dealer price for just front pads and fitting. The price viv got is a bit steep.
best repair is to weld in a arch kit. If you try to bodge it up you must remove all the old rust and seal up any unpainted areas.if you dont it will just bubble back through.
as mike said it will be the metal ecu cover that sits over the left computer connector.the computer is bolted to the inlet manifold at the back of the engine.there is a clip on a threaded bar that probably hasnt been wound back when the cover was last removed.
thats because the glove box light switch used to make the glove box lid stick out.they couldnt fix it(lazy f**kers)so they just didnt fit a light anymore.
there not that bad.get a new frame to roof seal for about £30.dont silicone it because it never lasts and when you have to do it again its a pain to remove.
old renault coolant was like acid.changing it was part of the service schedule but i bet nobody did it(should be changed every second major service).as soon as you start getting gunge in your expansion cap or the coolant goes like an orange colour then flush and change it.good old cancer of the...
what you feel with the gearstick will just be the selector fork being pressed against the sliding hub when its already pushed across and in gear, dont do it youll wear the selector fork.
the knocking in first could be numerous things.have a look at engine/gearbox mountings first.
