To far for me to give you a hand, never mind. yes its the first pipe after the manifold.easier to see if you look at the back of the engine from underneath.
look down the back of the engine at the exhaust manifold. the first section of pipe that bolts to this is the front pipe which i think has a flexi joint on it. Where are you from?
The arch kit only relaces the edges of the arches it isnt the complete arch buldge. To fit valver arches to normal rear quarters you would need to fit valver rear quarters im afraid.
the large nut/washer with rubber on it that sits on top of the shocker turret is designed to sit above the turret top. There has to be a gap as the washer turns with the shocker when turning the steering.
I would have thought a cam would always sacrifice idle and low speed drivability for power. Although the wilder the cam the more this would be noticable. Piper do cams but they are reprofiled i think. Not to sure how a reprofiled cam would work as they reshape the original lobes and so they dont...
depends on who does it and how.for example are you going to fit the wiring looms of another clio as well as the moters etc or are you going to have to make up your own looms.
The only other way is by fitting the central door locking system of another clio. How much this costs depends on how much you can get all the parts for.
Im pretty sure thats lamda which is caused by an air leak on the exhaust system.Checks the exhaust condition and all joints for any leaks. Does the engine run ok in general? eg-no misfires etc.
You could get all the central locking parts of a clio with central locking but you still need to wire it up unless you swap the wiring looms as well. Probably the cheapest option would be to get one of those aftermarket central locking kits as they include all door moters, wiring looms and the...
handbrake is probably a faulty caliper.
Cant remeber what that symbol is. It might be lamda that is caused by oxygen in the exhaust system,eg- the exhaust blowing, even a slight leak can affect lamda.
can you post a pic of your emissions printout?
Renault dealers can only download the latest pre-mapped software. Also once thats downloaded you cant reverse it back to the original software either. Also when the ecu is reprogrammed the learnt parameters reset back to factory settings so it may take a while to adapt back to your driving style.
use your old gearbox. to overhaul it wouldnt really be economical as you can get a guranteed recon box from renault for cheap. If it changes gears ok and its quite in operation then its ok. You can change the gearbox with the engine in but its very tight and a bit of a tw*t. Personally if im...
Very early clio mk1 had a carb before they introduced single point injection.the rest after that apart from some special editions like night and day(1.1L)for example were injection.
i suppose the exhaust doesnt matter that much and the looms would be the same but surely it would run better with the williams ecu or at least chip your valver ecu to compensate.
Wether bodyshops follow that rule i suppose depends on where you have the repair done. Ive seen some bodged repairs where the arch kit was just tacked on at intervals, now thats slack. They do say you get what you pay for though dont they.
You filler it over anyway so whats a little distortion around the weld joint going to matter and its not a chassis or strengthening point so you dont have to go overboard with the weld do you.
The name would suggest a chemical reaction but i cant think what it could do (other than adding something to the petrol) that would cause the petrol to change and be okay to run through leaded running engines.
An average welder could fit an arch as you dont see the weld it just needs to be good enough to hold. You grind/smooth the welds down and then everything is smoothed over/blended in with filler.
Isnt it like a cartridge that releases something into the petrol as it flows through it. Im sure they have a set service life as well (change the unit or fit a new cartridge inside it after a set period etc).
