Wouldn't say it's a scam from that, but I don't know what these normally go for. Sounds like he just thinks the 'T' in HGT stands for turbo... The scammers normally just take an existing advert, lower the price dramatically and change the contact details to purely an email address.

Lol, the Golf is sooooo much more car than the Clio ever was, don't get me wrong. It's just a very solid, comfy, reliable motor without excitement. I knew it wouldn't be exciting but I didn't realise how much I'd miss the excitement! I suppose there's also an element of coming into summer...

I don't know how this works, but surely there's is insurance in place to compensate for the loss in value, even if it means your premium increases as a result of a 'claim'? If the car was never found, you'd get back the total market of the car, so surely this must apply to some extent?

My download speed is doing my nut in! 100kB/s this morning, then it went up and down like a yo-yo, settling at 30kB/s and I return from the football and it's down to a steady 10kB/s... I can only assume it's PlusNet controlling it?

Lol, thanks... I meant my router firewall but managed to turn that off but still no luck. Today it started off quicker, around 10kB/s but is going up and down like a yo-yo. I'm wth Plusnet and apparently they aren't particularly favourable towards p2p and newsgroups so make it the least...

Must be dude, just did a quick online test and it's saying download speeds of 2.5mb/s and upload of 0.5. Is there an easy, universal way to stop my firewall getting in the way of newsleecher!?!

Just joined Giganews and starting to sort it all out... although started downloading and it's saying my max d/l speed is 12kb/s! Surely that's awful...?

I'd recommend learning in a structured environment. It takes a unique sort of person that can maintain that sort of discipline over a long period of time and teach themself something like this. All depends if you have the funds, if it's the best part of 5k, that's a lot of cash to start on a...

Cheers guys, I had a quick look at the sites but only saw their 'unlimited' subscriptions adverts, which is more. Had a proper look and it seems more reasonable!

Is there anyway to not pay the subscription costs for newsgroups? Not being a tight b*****d, but I doubt I'd download £20-odd of film and music a month, and my ISP would rape my connection speed...
