Did you not notice it was stiff?? They tend to fray where they go through the firewall and the accelerator becomes stiff and hard to control accurately especially at low speed.
I do believe you just never heard of it being a problem before but it does make sense. Can't believe they cant even manufacture the tensioners the same!!
I changed it myself so have nowhere to take it back too. Its going to rentec on tuesday so ill see what they say. Thanks for the help. Have they been known to have to much tension on the spring before?
You should have got a yozzasport stealth if you wanted a quality exhaust with similar noise levels to the stock renault one. Plus its stainless so itll never fall off like the renault one.
Once the engine has heated up I get a whining noise above about 2k rpm.

How do you use its potential on the motorway though which let face it is where most of us are getting our high mpg values. You dont need to drive it like a mad man all the time either :rasp: . I'm on 36mpg so far over this tank and that includes roughly 120 miles of motorway drving and 60 odd of...
I get 38mpg consistently over a tank week in week out. Though most of my miles are Dual carrige way or motorway. I dont see why people would make it up. If I calculate the mpg properly taking into account the speedo overreading it still comes back as 36-37mpg.
