    F**ked off more than ever

Did you not notice it was stiff?? They tend to fray where they go through the firewall and the accelerator becomes stiff and hard to control accurately especially at low speed.

changing spark plugs that are tight

You shouldnt snap them. Use a socket set if possible to get more turning force. Probably best to do it while the engine is cold.

    New 172 exhaust

You should have got a yozzasport stealth if you wanted a quality exhaust with similar noise levels to the stock renault one. Plus its stainless so itll never fall off like the renault one.

    A new whining noise....

Why would the tension suddenly be too tight after 3 months of driving though? Anyone heard of the aux belt pulley wheel not lasting very long?

    A new whining noise....

Once the engine has heated up I get a whining noise above about 2k rpm. Its really starting to annoy me now. Ive also had a whistling noise between 1k and 2k rpm for a while now. I was thinking maybe the alternator bearing or water pump bearing?? I'm hoping its not a cambelt tensioner! Whats...

    RS Tuner Yes or No?

The software comes with a logging program so you set that running on your laptop whilst its conected to the car and go for a drive. Save the log and email it to Henk. He will tell you if everything looks ok or not.

Ticking sound after engine is off?

If it a quiet tick tick tick tick etc then its probably the exhaust cooling down or as said relays etc opening closing if it quite a loud tick I would try to see where its coming from just to be sure.

Could it be my BMC? Update from renault

Have you got an aftermarket cat then? I wouldn't think anybody would class changing a lambda sensor as tampering with your exhaust system. How would they know anyway?

    Surely this can't be right?

How do you use its potential on the motorway though which let face it is where most of us are getting our high mpg values. You dont need to drive it like a mad man all the time either :rasp: . I'm on 36mpg so far over this tank and that includes roughly 120 miles of motorway drving and 60 odd of...

    exhaust

K-Tec stealth not too loud, well built and is a full 2.5" system so it frees up the engine a bit lower down the rev range.

    Surely this can't be right?

I get 38mpg consistently over a tank week in week out. Though most of my miles are Dual carrige way or motorway. I dont see why people would make it up. If I calculate the mpg properly taking into account the speedo overreading it still comes back as 36-37mpg.
