For the sake of £15-20 I would replace the belt but theres no need to do the pulleys again.
As for the cambelt how old is the car?
Also I dont see how the bolt sanpping could effect the damper?
Brentacre just beat Greenlights price for me. Unlimited modifications with engine limited to 200bhp with no admin charges for adding new ones to your policy. Insurance includes Euro cover, windscreen, legal, hire car etc. They can do breakdown cover for another £62 as well.
£749 for me 23yrs...
Well IMO if mike and dave didn't get them free then new ones it is!! I wouldn't chance doing it with the renault jack either as its crap. You need to get a axel stands and if your have enough money a trolley jack. Think halfords are doing a deal on a jack with stands atm.
Only time ive driven it was was in a works astra van early this year. Added another 100 miles to my trip but the fuel was free and I didn't give two s***s about the car so it was properly abused! If only they knew.....
I dont know why people moan about what the car is like when its cold because every car I have ever driven that has even a mildly tuned engine is crap when cold. Some of the worst come from the likes of BMW
Has anyone even ever owned a car thats nice to drive from cold??
The whiney noise the engine makes sometimes annoys me and I also have a rattle somewhere in the back which I can't locate and it'll disapear on its own for months and then start again!!!
I would think that its either the heatshield rattling on the mainfold or as said the engine cover. Smeel could be anything. Just make sure the aux belt looks ok and there no major oil leaks etc

Just realised the pics have gone from the guide! Anyway the guide sort of makes sense without them. Also you dont need to jack the car up to change the oil IMO but its upto you.
Sent him a message telling him its not a 172 decat wait to see what he says. Could cause a few headaches if someone who doesn't know much about them buys it.
I dont think they are chavy as long as the noise is coming from a car that means business not the local chav's 1.1 corsa. Though if its a daily driver I do think there is a fine line between whats bearable and whats going to make you want to puncture your eardrums with cocktail sticks...
Well I fitted my sports cat yesterday (never again!) and gave it a test drive this morning after the silicone had gone off. Its definately made a noticable difference.
Theres allot more torque low down and the 5k kick has pretty much disappeared I assume because the torque/power curve has...
