^^ Just need a long bar if its stiff. I'm sure someone on here local to you wouldve done it for some beer tokens. I think your looking at the best part of £200 from a dealer :(
Only because people don't realise when they need doing and/or get it done down a local garage who doesn't have a clue what they are doing.
Neglecting the aux belt and pulleys also causes the cambelt to go in many cases.
You will not get much power from an induction kit unless the car is remapped to it. But then if your going to fork out on a remap then there are other things that should be done also.
If you have £500 then I would suggest matched inlets, uprated airbox feeds, decat and a remap. If your after...
Well worth trying to clean them. I just used autoglym interior shampoo. Just give them a good scrub. Its amazing what a layer of grime on the belts will do.
^^ I'm not sure if the 1.4's have one.
Tapping could be lots of things. The engines are quite tappety anyway. How long have you had the car?
Dephaser pulley tends to make it sound like a diesel on idle and then when you increase the revs it will go until the revs drop again.
The carbon...
The set one is 7800rpm but I see no reason why they wouldn't lower it if you asked. I never go above 7k anyway as the power drops off too quick and as said it not particually brilliant for the engine!!
My front jacking points are fudged as well. I wouldn't let the tyre place use them the other week. I showed them how to jack it up on the chasis rail!!
I changed only the inlets in this thread apart from adding hillpower gaskets but they would not increase bhp.

I thought the figures I got were a bit optimistic and they were done in RSTuner which some will say...
Take the throttle body and upper inlet off again. Remove all sensors and clean them thoroughly. Check all the gaskets are ok and re-assemble.
As said above it could also be the throttle cable. Do the revs drop when you lift the throttle pedal up if they do then you need a new cable.
Always...
Re: HAS A CRASH THIS MORNING!
All though i totally agree with you the thing is 90% of everybody else in the country claims for everything they can so I don't see the point of losing out on a claim because you think its going to put everyone else's insurance up.
Somebody went into the back...
Been thinking about doing this myself. Could really do with a light over the back seat after I had two mates struggling to do there seatbelts up the other night.
Ive only used them once when going down a pitch black b-road when it was pouring with rain and they were useless so I expect in the fog they are even more so.
