If your a fluent 'spirted' driver who doesn't lean on your brakes like an F1 driver then I would personally go for OEM pads or if you want less brake dust greenstuff pads (they really aren't that bad but will fade if you push them).
If you are a ruthless 'spirited' driver who goes flat...
Ferrodo DS2500's are awesome pads. If you want EBC pads then get the greenstuff ones though they are not much better than stock and will fade with enough heavy braking.
TBH these cars need to go to specialists or a renualt stealership. Theres been many a story of people on here getting unkown garages to do cambelts etc and getting them wrong. (I'm not saying they are all bad but I would of got the cambelt done at a specialist if it even need doing in the first...
Rear ones are dead easy. Infact the whole braking setup on the clio is easy to change. The only problem I had with the rear is getting my socket bar long enough to get enough leverage to remove the hub nut!
WOT is wide open throttle - i'm sure you know what that is really!!
If after a data logging session you notive that the front 02 voltage is below 800mV then it might be worth sending an email to Henk to see if he thinks its worth it or not.
Best thing to do is once the engine is warm start...
I got a janspeed sports cat for a 172 off of ebay for £102 so it got to be worth a go it cant be more restrictive than the stcok cat so even if it gives a bit more bhp and torque ill be happy.
Theres no reason why a sports cat shouldn't pass an MOT providing the tester has the brains to get...
Ive had one made a noticible difference. Once you pay for it Henk will contact you and tell you what to do. I went through 4 variations of map before it was spot on. IIRC do a WOT PA in 3rd gear and review what you front o2 voltage is as soon as you go WOT is should be above 800mVolt if its not...
Makes a juddering knocking noise which as said is down to a loss of grip but not so much of a loss that you get constant wheelspin. Mine started doing it because my tyres were past there best.
Thats good. I meant you dont have to have the aircon on cold to lubricate it as long as its on it doesnt matter if it blowing out hot or cold air. When you use the car in the winter its a good thing to have on if your screen has steamed up.
^^ A girl I lived with last year at uni started her car everyday by opening the bonet hitting the starter motor with a hammer then starting the car! Would never start otherwise!! That was a clio as well!
I was under the impression that the aircon only gets very cold above a certain temperature?
You can run it on hot once a week you know to keep the seals lubricated if thats what your trying to acheive
205 tyres will fit but are almost twice the price of 195's and I don't really see any advantages of having them (I looked into this the other week).
Spacer wise the best track width on a clio is widely regard as what the 172 cup has. In which case you need to increase the overall track by 10mm...
I love my K-Tec not too noisy on a day to day basis but sounds great on a blast. I found it very boomy when it was first installed but it soon quietens down once its choked up a bit. Probably wont notice much of a performance increase if any at all but the sound adds to the whole experiance IMO
