I think the whole idea with the JMS kit is it's bolt on and no need for internal work.
I'm starting to doubt whether I want to even take the clio any further than matched inlets and exhaust as any further mods either make power every so often and the ones that dont have 'issues' :(
Thats fine mate I'm 6ft 2" so shouldnt be too much of a problem. Are you going to get a thread up on yours? I know you had engine issues but it would be great to read through your experiences as I'd love this conversion on my own car. I will take you up on that offer at some time mate, maybe...
I commented on it mate, seems to pull nice....although sounds like youre riding the clutch slightly :o
get that 30-110 up there when you get chance. Just noticed where you live, I could be tempted to drive down and take a closer look if its ok sometime :)
I'm after some magnecor leads, not sure whether to get blue or red, I'm not really sure of the benefits of either but if it's better than standard I'm game
Anybody know where's cheapest?
The 15s they use are the same width as a standard 2118 wheel. You can get 17" slicks so I'm sure if they were that great they would've been running them
It sounds more like you're the one who listens to the bullsh!t at the local mcdonalds than anyone on here. Put some 15's on it and see what you think :)
The contact patch is the tyre width nothing to do with how big the rim is
15s would be a better performance wheel, less weight and less circumfrance meaning the engine can get its performance onto the road quicker.
If I solve the dilema in my head and end up with coilovers I will be slamming it to the ground for the ASW'ness and to piss off the purists :) but I wouldnt be keeping it that low obv ;)
I'm about to shell out £550 on service parts to make sure the trophy is as reliable as can be :)
how does the handling feel with the sportlines fitted mate? Have you thought of upgrading the rear shocks to fully adjustable?
Sounds a similar spec to what mine will be apart from mine is a bit more of a luxury car inside :)
p.s I also remember the saxo, think I wanted to buy the tailgate...
nice one, I was more interested in the conversion pics and if there were any W.I.P pics taken.
Have you done the conversion yourself or given it to a company to do?
I'm going with my uncle and his mates, taking the trophy though
what's ground clearence like for seriously low cars getting on to ferry and camp sites etc?
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
I see having your seat forward might have an effect on your leg position vs the accelerator? The seat looks totally off centre
As for colours:
My ultimate would be: (all trophy spec)
LY, Capsicum (trophy red), RB, arctic, Black gold, inferno, silver, petrol blue.....in that order :)
IF you had the balls to do it you could slam that to the ground....ghetto stance lol but f**k me you need to get used to checking your front archs for immigrants each morning
