The problem is the adjusters have seized, Austin said te adjusters are plastic so putting heat on them will possibly damage them too much, c spanners haven't worked even hitting them with a hammer etc
Why not just do a search? There are plenty of threads on things like this
Imo the best 15's to suit the clio are:
Team dynamics pro race 1.2 as above
Speedline 2118
O.z f1's found on ph1's
Speedline Turini's
Super/ultraleggara's
Both useless lads.
If you want to get a propper remap go to Rs tuning in leeds, if you want one of the best mapping services in the country they're worth the travel.
All of these claimed powers from the above are bullsh!t. You will gain anywhere from 5-10bhp off a propper custom map from rs...
As title really, what kits are available?
As far as I'm aware you can get:
Vmaxx
K-tec
Gaz
I know people have H&R's but I cant find anywhere that sells them or states the hub spacing
I'm also guessing AST do as well
Just read the full project so far, seems like you're into the attention to detail things, I take my hat off to you and glad you're enjoying the 197. I take it you arent looking to move on as you've had it for over 3 months :)
I'd be too tempted to have the speedlines as the daily wheels as it...
Got a PM from geddes asking whether any of us wanted to go up maybe this weekend?

I'd maybe go for a remap to improve and smoothen out power delivery with an exhaust system, de-cat and matched inlets. Nothing major but enough to see a change in the way the car drives.
I'd improve the suspension, billstein dampers with eibach springs or stiffer. You may want to go with fully...
Are you using camber shims on the rear mate? Looks like a good ammount of camber, it looks a lot better without the centre caps IMO,
If it had a 1*2 front end it would be perfect, it just doesnt look right to me as it is, fat at the rear and side on but the front just lacks charactor and...
That seems quite a low power reading even for a standard car. Atleast you gained something though, I've heard the maxogens in some cases can reduce power, possibly to do with where you mount the CAF?
I like the idea of the JMS inlet set up, it sounds very good and is a neat bit of kit. I can't...
I'm down here at the minute and keep seeing an RB 182 with odd wheels, think its standard cup wheels on the rear and white TD 1.2's on the front. I'm around from time to time in my trophy so keep an eye out
Seems like a well put together vid that, all seems to be a bit glorified and lots of dollar knocking around.....When that Pink RX starts up and Idle's I nearly creamed
I have to admit I love the brake pedal feedback from the cup, that was the only good thing I took away from driving my mates stone mint 30k Mile Cup, it was a very nice car but the better suspension on the trophy really makes the trophy a better standard car.
Modified vs modified I dont know...
errmmmm.........:o
They're all good cars, just decide whether you want xenons, air con, climate control, half leather and suede, a newer car and more power (slightly) or if you're not arsed and just want to go as fast as possible with the ability to have more driver input (no abs)
I completely agree if you have enough cash for another car then the Cup will be the more 'fun' car to use on weekends to put a smile on your face, but for an everyday weapon I'd much prefer the 182 as the Cup offers very little performance gain for the things you have to give up :)
Buy a 182 IMO but make sure its got both cup packs. I'd much rather be sitting with climate control, nice leather and suede seats, both cup packs, xenons for a few hundred £'s over a cup.
Yes the cup is a little bit lighter, it does away with all the nice extra's you may want, no ABS, which...
yeah mate, will have to organise a trip to hartside and a few other driving roads when the good weather is back....I wouldn't mind doing a weekend of the evo triangle etc
Thought I'd update this thread, I will make a project thread but dont have the time ATM
So 2011 plans for the trophy are:
172/182 xenon headlights
AAS Exhaust system
RS tuning Remap
Uprated engine/ gearbox mounts
Alcantara Gear Gaitor from Austin-182
Alcantara door cards
Whiteline Rear ARB...
looks smart mate, you got any side on pictures just to reference the MF setup :)
I'm thinking the black surrounding xenons will be a future purchase for mine along with MF springs, Koni rear shocks and Whiteline ARB
