Too right!
Im sure everyone assumes that us Cup owners are completely incompetent when it comes to driving in crap weather.
I mean cos obvioulsy you drive faster, crash and burn in a Cup when it rains.
All other ABS less cars are obvioulsy immune to the same fate...Pug Gti's, Valvers...
You have a point there. :)
Apologies for jumping on the bandwagon. Typical case of judging a book by its cover there. (or just the content of your first post!)
Happens all too often on these pages so sorry about that.
And i always pride myself on being one of the chilled out ones around here...

^^^Jeez not again! If i've seen this comment on here once i've seen it a thousand times!
This will only end in another "ABS IS A MUST HAVE IN THE WINTER!!" rant again.
So ok its still early days but how many Cups have we seen "binned" so far this winter?
Pains me to say it but Rip3z has a point.
Braking and gearshifting mid turn is a schoolboy error....and in the wet is just asking for trouble.
Sounds like you are too hot into roundabouts and corners and then lift off oversteering your tail into trouble.
Slow down! You'll live...
Entirely depends on your own circumstances mate. Im actually paying for my Cup on finance and its costing me £135 pm with a lump sum to pay in June 2008.
If you can afford to put money away to pay off the lump at the end then by all means do it that way. Doesn't cause me any probs at the moment...
Ok ok, i know this is as common a subject as you can get on here but im after some advice as to what this suspension noise could be.
I noticed it tonight going over some of those really abrupt evil little speed bumps you get in car parks etc...you know the bar steward little feckers you have to...
What code are the repeater bulbs for the 172?
Got some clear lenses but obviously now need the orange or silver look bulbs to replace the standard ones.
Cheers.
I haven't driven the A3 in a long while...well at least not the Guildford to Portsmouth bit.
The road that i really do have the hots for at the moment is the A31 from Guildford to Winchester....long,fast and nearly deserted.
Black 182 coming from Horsham direction on the A281 today at about 11ish and then a Silver 172 on the same road about half hour later!
Rubbish weather so didn't get either reg.
Welcome to CS.
I'd recommend SMC Guildford. I know most of the sales staff and a few people in service.
Not had my car serviced by Renault yet as i do it myself but they are fairly sound there!
Definitely a mucking puppy there but may not be excepted as it looks like its been down a rally stage....for everyday build up of dirt its definitely Joshydee.
May be worth checking the relay box by the battery.
Its notoriously not water tight and if water has been getting in for a while then sometimes the relays corrode and then all sorts of things start to act up.
My old 1.2 had problems everytime i washed it or it rained.
Mine is pure filth at the moment. I had to wipe off the headlights tonight as they had got that dirty they weren't having much effect!
Its still damp though so it doesn't look as dirty as it will once it drys.....i'll get some pics up in the morning!
I've just ordered some of these Bosch Aerotwin wipers that you usually see on most of the new Renaults nowdays as you can buy them as upgrade kits to replace the standard items.
I known Ryan (Rhino16v) has put a set on his Valver but just wondering if anyone else has jumped on the wagon so to...
