Well Jo i hope this new found realisation that you love your car so much means your gonna start coming to some meets again in the new year!!
You need to check the meet section if you haven't already and get your name down on the new South East Meet thread.....i noticed you hadn't...tut tut! ;)...
Just been down to the local Renault dealer to pick some parts up and saw a 182 parked up having just had its service valet so i flyered it for good measure.
Reg was **04 XHC
Thats where mine gets most attention from the "unfamiliars" as it were....the colour...being THE best blue Renault have done (oh there are NO contenders, you Racing blue crew;)) it tends to get lots of "lovely colour" comments.
15min job on a Cup? Grand....that'll be me doing it then....sod shelling out to Renault for 15mins worth of labour..."oh that'll be 200 nicker please" kerrrching.
Yeah i suppose if you are tracking the car alot with lots of high loads being put through the engine for sustained periods of time then a decent racing bred oil would be much more beneficial.
Ahhh it makes me proud to be the owner of a Cup.
Fantastic pictures....and i'll second the EVO sticker question...im subscribed but where the hell can you get them?!
I had a great one recently when i had a rather nice looking lady pull up beside me at set of traffic lights in another Clio...a dynamique i think, and ask "what on earth is that and where can i get one?!"
She'd seen me pull away rather sharpishly from a junction about a mile back and she...
The people drivng other performance cars are usually the ones who give knowing nods or looks...
The types that make me laugh are the execs in their salloons who expect everything to move out the way when on any piece of dual or motorway.
I use my local bypass everyday to get to work and...
Yeah so i've noticed....actually haven't heard much from quite a few people recently, but Lee is slacking. And with him having one of the rarest Clio's around you'd think he wanna turn up and show off a bit!
Yeah you'll go for it mate....that car is pretty much a minter and thats really good money for it as well. Good that the cambelt has been done as well. No worries about any big work needing to be done!
With that colour i'd say Cup-esque wheels mate....;)
Just put a set of Silvervisions in...
Ahh yes...that'll be the improvement in QUALITY i believe...hehe...now watch the MK1 brigade hunt me with sharp sticks!
Hope you do step up though mate...although i will admit that i'll miss the lil naples noise polluter!
Ahh so there we have it...thats just blown my bit of oil snobbery right out of the water!
Its all very much the same as fuel production obviously...supermarket fuel being made by the big brand boys.
Its mainly psychological when it comes down to what to use both oil and fuel wise, although...
That looks like a FF...leather/alcan, air etc.
To tell if its an import you have to check to see if it has the factory fitted alarm etc...usually have to look for the little led by the gearstick..or so i hear.
Looks tidy mate!
Thats the way i've usually looked at it! I get mine for nothing and as i change mine more than the service schedule suggests...well about 4k earlier actually, it saves me a hell of alot of money. £8 for a oil and filter change anyone?
So whats with Silkolene? Is it specially extracted from the...
You thinking of making the switch Ryan?
I remember you mention something about changing to a Mk2 when we met up at Westerham...
Go on....do it...come over to the dark side...
I can't understand all this fuss people make when they discover that the "wrong brand" has been used in their car. Is there such thing?
Fair enough make sure its 5W 40 or as Edde says make sure you don't live in Siberia if its 10W 40 but all this brand snobbery is a bit strange.
I will admit...
Caught up with and played a bit of to and fro with a Silver 52 plate 172 FF on what looked like Turini's heading up the Guildford stretch of the A3 tonight.
I pulled off to join the M25 whilst a monster Ford F150 Lightning came steaming up it.
Reg was R*52 NWF.
Prob no one from here as it...
Re: which car ???????????????????????
I think you prob know what to expect posing a question like that on here!
S3 is well built and quick but just a bit too clinical and uninvolving...the chassis isn't the best.
A3 T....why if you are considering the S3?
R32....well i really can't comment but...
Bloody hell Ryan....you really did go PS mad on your car.
Im fairly sure yours would make more noise than the tank version mind you....you noise polluter!
