Fair play. If you are looking at it financially and thats the way you want to go then i say go for what you fancy...it is for you and no one else after all. If you can get an S2000 for the same money you'd spend on the TT i'd go for that but again thats just me!

Just read it....very well put! Didn't take a lot of thought to narrow down that it was resetting due to lack of power..hence the fuel needle dropping. Thinking it thru more i also realised that after longer journeys it was ok for a few days and then after doing only short journeys the problem...

I only ever tend to see 1.2's and 1.4's round my way. Rarely see other 172's and 182's and other Cup's are as rare as rocking horse sheeet (probably cos they are being thrown into the scenery at a rate now that its got a bit wet!) so i feel rather exclusive in mine.

What TVR do you have? Mate of mine owned a Chimaera for about a year or so a few years back and he absolutely loved it. Had his fair share of probs but he wasn't bothered. Had to sell it as it was costing him a fortune running it as his everyday car....broke his heart to sell it mind you!

If you were giving it stick and rushing through the gears then yes its probably something you have done. You've probably just mistimed you clutch and gearchange action and let the clutch up a touch early....easilly done if the adrenaline is pumping and you have a shaky left foot!
