the rubber is probably there to reduce road vibration felt through the steering wheel and is probably designed to shear off to protect the driver in the event of an accident.quite a few people on here have had theirs welded up and theyve never posted about any complaints.
i think the bottem ends are to different.for all the cost it would take to try and do it you might as well just stick a bigger engine in it or better still get a new car.engines swaps and mixing parts gets complicated and exspensive on these newer clio versions.
the renault equipment could wipe an r-sport ecu if a technician attempts to reprogramme it to cure a running fault.if you book in the car for running problems i would remove the r-sport ecu first.the renault clip examines the software version in the ecu.if the software isnt the latest version...
yours hasnt got a gen immobiliser just central locking/alarm as standard by renault, but these are easy to disconnect as youve already done.an n reg valver may have an immobiliser i dont know any way of blanking the immobiliser code from the ecu so it can be used on other cars.
the mapping could only be wiped by renault if you have the group n ecu as this is a renault part.the aftermarket chips etc cant be affected by the renault equipment.
the k-tec induction kit and reallocation pipe looks good.youll not gain a great deal but youll get the noise.a few people on here have got them im sure theyll post their views for you.
the cost involved make it not viable.the injection ecu may be different, the uch could be reconfugured, you need the switches and the steering wheel and the main dash board loom may be different.
