running standard ecu at the moment but im going to get the group n ecu when i get the inlet manifold from hillpower.the standard ecu can just about cope with the ik kit ok.
if you have a spark on that cylinder then its either an injector problem or lack of compression on that cylinder.have you removed the plug and checked/swapped it?
the uk ones dont come with an indicator but on the other new renaults you just use the stalk button to get to the count down screen and then press and hold the instrument panel button to reset it.
the kit is £235.i think it made a improvement and it sounds good as well.the only trouble i had was the air scoop because it didnt fit where they say to put it.i found another place for it though so panic over.all in all though im happy with it.if you e-mail them they will send you a complete...
the injector cover will either be two 10m or two 13m nuts in the centre holes.you may need a oil filter tool as rich-d says because they can be really tight sometimes.remember to smear some oil on your new filter seal so it wont stick on next time.
just get your mate to make it a bit bigger or the same size as the pipe in the rest of your exhaust system.if your going to get a performance exhaust soon then get him to make it out of a bit larger pipe then it would match your system if you get one.
the picture is a different engine but the sensor is in the same place on yours which is what ben is trying to show you.look on your engine where the arrow is pointing on that picture.
thats why i suggested trying it in his dads to make sure the reiever is faulty and not something else because he said his dads reciever didnt work in his car and i think it should.
the back one would fit a clio2 phase 1 but the front one would be different.on a clio2 phase 1 the front grill is separate whilst on a clio2 phase 2 its part of the front bumper.
double richness? you cant adjust computer parameters.the only thing you can do is reset the learnt parameters thats it.injection duration etc is all decided by the ecu.renault clip cant change that.
a while ago manufactures used 16v technology to gain more power but a lot of the time nowadays they use it to cut emission outputs instead so youve probably both got around the same bhp.id say it would be a close match.call his bluff if i was you.
any clio reciever should fit.the only problem i can see is if you try a reciever off a vehicle with an immobiliser and fit it to a vehicle without an inmmobiliser there is a chance it wouldnt work.get a reciever of a car that is a similiar year to yours.
the reciever in the roof is just that.all it does is recieve the key signals and its just a case of buy one and plug it in.you dont need to reset the immobiliser etc as the reciever part is not coded.£110-dont think their that much now.
if the gauge doesnt work then replace the oil level sensor first.it is in the block at the front of the engine with the connector pointing up. the reason the other two work is there information comes from different sensors and they are on different wiring circuits.
as ben says the oil level and temp use the same gauge.the oil level gauge works for about 10secs when you first put the ing on,after that the gauge shows oil temp.if oil level doesnt work its probably a fault with the level sensor(sensor circuit in open circuit)
the amount they actually swell and the difference the pedal will feel with braided hoses is debatable.one good point about them is that they wont split all the time like the renault ones do.
