I believe the K&N Typhoon does something similar. Not entirely sure how effective it is, but there's a lot of kinks and bends disturbing the flow of air on its way into the engine.
Ben will tell you whether that's a good thing or not. lol.
You haven't got fbw, that's your problem.;)
All though the PhOld owners always remind us of how good the cable throttle is..... :quiet:
Seriously though, could be a problem with the ICV, I'm sure I've seen a few threads related to it.
My missus swapped from a Mk2 Clio to a Mk3 - It's a better car all round. I'm not at all surprised it's more expensive. The difference is it FEELS more expensive. YUou feel like you've actually bought a quality product. Whereas Renaults previous offerings left a little to be desired in that...
I HATE the 'body kit' on the CTR... looks so max power, sort of stuck on with pritstick type look - the skirts, front/rear valances.
Nice pics though mate. :)
I'm getting H&R's. Unless they start offering a free Dental healthcare plan with the FK's. They may be £200 cheaper, but it'll cost you twice that in dentures once all your teeth have rattled out.
Yes, but standard is the best for compromise. A compromise of performance, economy, emissions and noise.
If you are striving for performance, certain factors such as noise and economy can be disregarded to a certain extent.
BenR, a reputable member of Cliosport, very experienced with Clio's and there engine variants and a flow technician by trade only recommends the ITG Maxogen.
No Viper, no BMC CDA. The clues are there.
Fogs were a cost option iirc. CTR's are a bit poxy in the spec department really. Your'e paying for the engine and gearbox!
Nice job mate. Needs a PC by the look of it though.
Also I prefer the font on standard plates. Look s a nice car though mate, you've done well there.
Unless your planning on other mods I wouldn't bother - get a panel filter.
If you just want noise and aren't bothered about performance get a Viper/BMC/Cone.
For all other options get an ITG Maxogen.
Exactly! I had some work done and went on a test drive with the guy that did the work - My car was faster pretty much all the way through the rev range. I may only have a gained a few hp top end but my car was far more driveable due to the increase in torque.
No mate. I care not for numbers. I didn't have it RR'd before the work, so any figure I got now wouldn't be much of an indication of gains.
All I know is it produces more torque low down and generally goes like stink. lol.
Was centre section failure on mine. Twice!!
I went for a Custom jobbie in the end. A Ktec stealth seems a popular replacement in you don't want a visible tailpipe and as it's it's stainless has a lifetime warranty.
