It looks better in Black because black hides the lines of the car!!.
Black 182's/172's are very difficult to tell apart from 1.2's for the same reason.
Hey, I bought a Prospeed for my 172 - I'm not knocking them. I've had a few problems with it, similar to Tim, but it does a job.
My OE exhaust was falling to bits (surprise, surprise) and there was a group buy on here and I got it for £270 fitted. Cheap as chips.
BUT if was serious about...
Well I was thinking more alon the lines of the PAKSHAK Ultra Plush on Clean and shiny.
I bought one, and it's a excellent but £4 each!!
Never tried Poundland.... might have to don my disguise and go and have a butchers!
If I had a 182, I'd get the BTB/Shed Motorsport one. It's designed for the car. Not just a few pipes and cans welded together to fit where the OE one went. lol.
Just been thinking about this. I find that microfibre cloths are hideously expensive for what they are. Even the 'unbranded' ones.
Would there be enough people interested, and would it be beneficial do you think, to do a group buy and buy a box full in bulk??
Cup spoiler.
V6 spoilers look s abit stuck on and don't seem to line up right for some reason. Cup spoiler follows the lines of the car.
AND a Cup spoiler, although still hard, will be easier to get hold of than a V6 one and cheaper too.
One of the most popular, and cost effective, mods on the F4R engines seems to be a ported/matched inlet manifold. It produces good gains and is relatively cheap. Other good mods include replacing the standard exhaust system (including the catalytic converter).
Couple with the correct ECU...
I can believe it. All the 2.0 Clios are pap after 90 (on a private test track).
Mine pulls harder now it's modded, but it's only realyy now upto the performance level you expect standard. lol.
Isn't that a DC5 in the vid? I can't tell! Still a 20 odd bhp advantage - Goes bloody well on it though!!
Mind you it looks like the vid takes place at high speeds - Gearing in ph1 Clio 172's is gay at high speeds. Sounds like he gets some clutch slippage 3rd to 4th too.
I don't think there's much you can do... a so called ECU reset might help, but I really don't know enough about such things. All I know is that when I had my inlet done, Nick Hill suggested that I didn't thrash my car for extended periods until I'd had my ECU changed.
I'm considering getting...
If anything your car will be running lean with a matched manifold and exhaust. Your car will be OK but I wouldn't drive at high rpm for any extended period.
For the money it costs, you'd be mad not to get a remap/replacement ECU..... My group N made the biggest single difference out of all...
pmsl!
In fact, on a 449 valver I'd get them in white.
Not a fan of black wheels. Just make your car look like you've lost your hubcaps when it's rolling. lol.
