Had Hillpower Inlet Manifold and he also fitted me a GrpN ECU to my 172.
Nicks a brilliant bloke, will help you in anyway he can. And above all else he's an enthusiast - As far as I can tell he loves what he does.
10/10.
I never mentioned the prices - It wasn't a slight on the company either - I've had no dealings with them but, as I said above, from the threads I've seen on here regarding their Stealth system I fail to see why you should have to pay for an off the shelf exhaust and then have to pay someone to...
Best on the market. Complete kit including silicon hose and all brackets. But yes, very pricey.
Unless you intend to do more to the car (remap/inlets/zorst etc) I wouldn't bother - Just get a panel filter.
lol... we all do it.... I always laugh because I lean forward when I'm trying to do a flying start. lol.
Look at all the grass that Clio has churned up though!! pmsl!
My car is quicker with the group N than without. End of.
As to the revs, I don't rev my car any higher than I did before. In fact maybe even a little bit less. It's so much better lower down that you don't fell the need to thrash it everywhere. I could imagine the raised limiter is useful on...
I was about to say, in my uneducated opinion, that a Willy/megane lump will do 99% of what a 172 lump will do, unless your going to silly power outputs.
Would be a cool conversion though, bit more of a one off - There are loads of 'hybrids' knocking about. Might even be the first one in the...
Had the ITg and zorst already for a few months.... then had Inlet and GrpN on same day. Inlet first by about 3 hours as my ECU was late being delivered.
I have ITG Maxogen, S/S cat back exhaust and a Hillpower Inlet Manifold with a Group N ECU. I have no power graphs, but my car goes like stink and pulls much harder lower down in the rev range. (how it should have been from the factory imho).
Hillpower supllied my GroupN ECU, which is a...
Hmm.. I wonder how loud my ProSpeed is....
Db is a logrithmic ratio of change rathre than an actual unit of sound, and as such there is quite a difference between 95 and 98.... the whole measuring thing sounds a bit hit and miss too by the sounds of it (boom boom).
in fact 10 log (P1/P2)...
Agreed. The exhausts that are designed for the car will always be better. Custom places build one to fit and make it look nice. Horses for courses.
But if you think I'm paying circa £1000 for an exhaust on a 7k Clio, you've got another thing coming!!
I love it when he gets technical.
I just wish I could get my head round what he's trying to say. lol. When is a hole not a hole? lol.
Quite frankly, the intracacies of all this flow business is a bit mind boggling. I'm all for leaving it to Ben. lol.
Cool.
Nick Hill questioned why the intake of the ITG Maxogen trumpet was smaller than the TB OD.....
Speaking of which, I need to sort a cold air feed out for mine.
