I'm a bit biased, but mine is the 182 exhaust not the stealth. Build quality and fit sells the system for me. No adjustments needed like it can be with other systems.
fare point mike. Mine wasn't just noisy when i took it in. You couldn't hear the normal engine noise or zorst it was rattling that much. Propper fcuked
btb isn't quiet mate. Decat it if you want a bit more. you'll not find a better made stainless system tbh. Joe knows his sh1t. Do a search on here, there are a few people with them on the 172's
Sounds like it could be a pain tbh. I'm just thinking if i'm going to be plowing a few hundred into the dephaser I could spend elseware. I was a bit curious of how to adjust the cam angle jord. Sucks that it would cost so much to do. I would imagine that it would require mapping to sort the low...
Which CATCAMs are these mate? number? What pully would it need replacing with? Meg one?
Mine is fubard mate. Had the belts done and within 20 miles it was horrendous. He checked it for movement before replacing the belts and it seemed fine. Plus the cost it is to replace seems an unneccessary...
personally I would say r26r mate. Drive one and you'll instantly love it I guarantee. You feel instantly at ease with it. Plus it's easier to tune and sounds amazing (althought the Vee does trump it on noise). Plus the megane is more practical. Yes the 6 point harnesses might be a bit annoying...
...... and replace it with a fixed pully? anyone done this? It would obviously remove the vvt, but can it be done so long as the diametre and number of teeth correspond to the original size? Just curious as it costs a lot for the pully and the fact that they seem to be quite fragile (mines now...
It's around £100 a corner IIRC mate. He might do you a deal if you send all 4. By the time you get the units, and refurb, it will probably be close to the cost of new ones. Why you not going for the KW V2's? Is this for the ph1? I know Inferno was selling some 182 Cup AST's a month or so back...
There are two clips on the back (182 anyway). Turn the wheel 90degs and you'll see the two clips. Now comes the fun part. They are a pain in the arse to remove. Screw driver to price them, one by one and off it should pop. It too me ages as I was moving the clips the wrong way. Good luck ;)
