This to be honest. Hancooks are good for the money, but 888's are in a different league for me. You can run them to slicks and they'll still grip. And in the wet they are just as good as PE2's, if not better, on track. Can't comment on the road as i've got dedicated track wheels. Just get some...
fcuk that. £600 for a box is rediculous. you wouldn't end up paying 2k for the work you're on about mate. Brakes are easy to fit, not that expensive if you get OE ones. Say £200 for all round roughly. As said, BTB is cheap and the quality is great. GB you could get a second hand one for £250...
Had my aux belt changed at 36k, and recently the idler bearings have gone. For an extra £100 for the idlers/tensioners it's not much. The last thing you want is an aux fail and sever consequences that could potentially follow.
Re: NW Rolling Road meet @ RS Tuning
Should be ok for this Daz, but i'll let you know closer to the time. Belts are being done today, so i'm eager to check the timing :)
Not a bad idea, but you'll be making the track narrower, and i'd imagine that by the time all the work has been done you may as well get some cup ones. I think it's DS and hubs that need doing. Presumably all the rest of the steering etc would be the same. I'm sure Fred would be able to tell you.
That's what I was trying to get at tbh. It's better, but in day to day life, there isn't much difference really. Yeah bits are better, but so much better you change and pay a fortune.
Re: The Big Manchester Meet...
Cheap plug ;) Group buy :D
What time is this on Sunday. I'm in gay Halifax (sorry Mike ;)) on Saturday night for a bonfire, so not sure what time i'll be back in the real world
I've seen vag and hondas make stock. Too many factors really. Remember that the French do class it as 182/197/200 bhp, it's kW, but they don't even tend to reach that either
It shouldn't really lose it's code mate. I've had my car without battery for a good few months now and the keys are fine. Stupid question, but you have changed the battery and tried your spare key?
And the arguements start. Surely you cant comment unless you've driven one. It's not just the 0-60 you pay for. Handling is in a different league really.
Edit: I'm on about the 200 ;)
That RS looks wicked. Still looks like a bus in the corners though. Nimble is better personally, but the straights were an issue (albeit minor) for me when I drove the 200. wicked car though.
