other than the new waxes, glaze and metal polish, what is the other product they're showcasing at the show? I know there is something else as James wouldn't show or tell me what it was
Would C4 be better for lights and clusters as they're plastic? I know most of the C1, 4, 5, etc are supposed to be very similar but wasn't sure about the G1 so haven't done the lights yet.
Gave the car a good proper wash this afternoon, trippled and re waxed, couple of goes with glass cleaner and sheeting has returned, not working quite so well at lower speeds but works at 55/60 onwards again.
will give it another layer over the weekend to bring it back to life.
Don't know what they used but it's pretty bad, even started to attack the blue wheel centre caps, haven't tested the wheels yet as the fronts had C5 on.
I've had G3 sitting in the shed since late winter / start of spring 2011 and was fine when I tried it recently,
mines been on for about a month until it went near a Ford dealer. Picked the car up and they'd washed it against requests not to.
Has stripped both AF Desire that was sitting on tough coat and DJ SNH, no beading or sheeting left. most of the trim had AF revive and that is now all patchy, even...
Some of the Mk2 Ph3 non sport clios came with smooth bullets so may be worth looking into. I had plenty of carbon no my LY and changed most parts back to standard apart from spraying all the black plastics in graphite grey. looked standard but still different although not as stand out as carbon...
Am I right in thinking most waxes and normal sealants provide little UV protection to stop fading? Apart from the nano type sealants of GTechniq, CQuartz etc
CYC sell it, not sure if they question who you are or experience etc before sending it out at GT do directly.

Application is not the easiest, and if you get it wrong you'll have to crack out the polisher to...
the iron particles actually embed themselves into the clear coat, kind of like burn there way through. wiping on the ironX gel is no worse than wiping a wash mit over a dirty car, although the iron particles will not just wipe off, instead they begin to dissolve by a chemical reaction as far as...
obviously the Clio is bolts, but my new Focus is nuts. Had the wheels off several times and TBH doesn't make a blind bit of difference, only unless your not strong enough to hold the wheel against the hub to put a bolt in.
Can't see the point in paying to change for the sake of change. These...
on the part of the stud that the wheel will go onto, use to nuts tightened against each other, then when screwing the thread into the hub you can get a spanner on the nuts and tighten the thread. having the 2 nuts tight together will mean they will not move on the thread. think if it as...
standard tyres fitted to 182's are 205, 172 is 195. Why go for 215?
A few have the rotas fitted but some required spacers on the rear so that the calliper didn't foul the hub of the wheel, at the time they only made them in one offset to fit the clio, but can't remember if it was 37 or 45...
revive is one of the best non permanent trim dressings I've used, nice and easy to and buff. C4 can be tricky to apply meaning hassle to remove and re-apply. I have both, one on each car
SIlver has bene covered quite a bit, but I'd recommend going for Autofinesse tripple or rejuvenate, topped with tough coat. Used these combo's many times on siver cars now to excellent results.
Werkstat acryllic combo is highly rated for silver also but I've not used it.
Also for trim...
unfortunately I don't have the facilities to do correction indoors, or suitable lighting to fully inspect panels outside so a glaze is ideal, but when you get a certain amount of filling from a pre wax cleanser without the loss of durability so I'm undecided. planning on trying out different...
I tried the vics concourse and collectors, I found after 3 weeks road grime and and tar etc was not washing off so I stripped it. May give it another go come summer.
Kev, does amigo shorten the life much of LSP at all, I found EZ creme did a little.
Wasn't a fan of BTBM, didn't feel slick enough for my liking and found I used quite a bit, maybe it's down to being in a hard water area.
Now got an ocean blue 08 Focus so hoping to get a bit more out of EZ creme compared to the liquid yellow. If not I'll look out for amigo.
Was on about your...
So Glasur? Amigo? etc etc Keepers or should I keep an eye on the others for sale?
Only ever spoke with Dom as their HQ is opposite AutoFinesse but he seemed down to earth and a genuine nice guy
Gally's stepped over to the dark side of super duper sealants, never to use his glasur or glazes again. ;) keeps checking the for sale section.
Not even sure if he was a particular fan of DJ waxes TBH
I must have an old formula then as mine runs a bit. Has the orange spray head and 'new and improved' formula with hint of spring flowers or whatever it was supposed to be.
Think I'll stick to the new spray liquid and make my mind up once I've tried it.
Anyone heard of differences in strength...
the thought of making my own wax appeals to me more than actually using it. but as it a case of add the flakes to the pre mixed liquid it kinda takes a bit of the fun out of it. But then using something you've made yourself must be more reqarding than off the shelf, wether or not they will all...
I've read mixed reviews on the decon gel, and some not getting the best out of it unless left to dwell for quite some time. That for me puts IX as the one to have, even if it may require additional applications. I've never used decon gel but just my own opinion.
