After all the things you've said too Bryan..... ;)
The Clio certainly lacks in some areas, but one thing it stands head and shoulders above the rest is value for money. £6000 will pick you up an 03 import mk2 172 in good nick with average miles. They were a bargain new - they're a f**king...
£6700 would be about right for a UK car I reckon, from a garage at least.
Whirring from the interior light is a small fan that blows air over the temperature sensor for the climate control. Very common problem.
The do tend to pull around a little. Get four wheel allignment and tracking...
Youth, I've driven 20,000 miles in my car and over 5,000 in my missus's. I've driven them on the same night, down the same road.....
If that doesn't, what exactly does quantify 'back to back' experience?
lol @ Ben
I disagree.... lowering has to be beneficial to some degree - Surely your lowering the centre of gravity, which can only be a good thing. I think it's the way in which some cars are lowered that causes the problems i.e. shortened rock-hard springs which lower the car, but do nothing...
I'd have to disagre with that.... I would imagine the Cup lights to be the same as my missus's Dynamique and, excuse the pun, the can't hold a candle to the Xenons on my 172.
Back on topic, those morette headlights look good on some cars. Sadly not the Clio imho.
:D
We use Sodium Hydroxide (@ only 2% conc. vol/vol and it's still pretty f**king strong) as a caustic agent to clean beer mains at work. It's nasty stuff.
Where did you get your info from Jill? Have you done some testing? ;)
I'll try, but i'd hazard a guess that making a black car, in that light, look the same colour as a baked bean and making it look convincing would be f**king hard!!!
This is a pic I took of the rear lights when I swapped mine (standard lamp on right for comparison) - note these are the silver fusion lamps so don't have the faint orange glow like the others. Sadly silverfusion are no longer trading.
Agreed.
On a side note, I find the handbrake on my 172 is pretty f**king poor tbh. When your f**king about and try and spin the back end rally style ( :o ), it just sort of slows the car down lol.
There were far less Cups produced than 172's and far more 182's than any other RS variant.
It can't be a coincidence that the vehicle with the highest number of single vehicle accidents against it is the car with the fewest 'driver aids' and the highest pwr/weight ratio.
It adds a little...
As a stand alone mod, an IK is pretty useless - It'll gain you nothing more than likely, and possibly lose you low down torque (don't know how much the accoustic valve does for this)
BUT as part of a series of mods, it can be well worthwhile. Especially when used together with Exhaust...
Are you sure it's rust?
I often find specs which appear to be rust on my 172 - they wash off. More than likely tiny particles of metal finings that stick on the paint and then rust.
