Yeah - but speedo will be out (unless you got that reading on an AP22 or something). Book is 137mph and if you look at Autocar tests, youll see that speedos on all cars overread by about 1-5mph even at 60 (so will be worse by 130+).
Car manufacturers build in that bit of error so that you...
Had my old 1.2 Clio since it was new in 1995. Sold it in 2001 when I realised that I was better having a real 16v than (expensively) creating a replica.
Never had any other cars myslef - but have driven my mums old 1995 Clio Bacarra, Volvo S40 turbo, Volvo 340 1.4 (!!!) and Volvo 960 3.0...
Date: November 2001
Price: £4600
Year of car: 1994 (early phase 2 on a July "L" plate - rare/stupid: you decide!)
Model: Clio 16v w/leather (and engine mods:devilish:)
Inlet manifold is definitely different. 19 16vs have a long trunking pipe to the air box (or induction kit). Make the same power/torque though - 137bhp @6500rpm and 116lb/ft of torque (about 160 Nm) @4250rpm.

Mines on 93k and my flatmates is on 135k - so I think Id know what to expect with high milers. Basically, if the car has always had everything done to it when it was needed (expect, therefore, a big folder of bills) then the car will probably be fine.
Like I say, I know someone who needs a...
I had a patch of rust at the bottom of the door pillar on the drivers side. Ive never found the source of the water that presumably caused it, but it hasnt come back since Ive been keeping the car dry at all times.
Well, even more respect to the already respect-laden, cult icon that the Williams is! 0-60, bhp and so on never tell the full story! Im also a fan of the 16v, 106 GTi and 205 GTi 1.9 - but anyone who ever tries to tell me that their Pug is quicker than a standard Williams will get immediate...
Wow! I counted 0-60 in about 16 secs - wow! Dont want to pee on the fire, but its probably more like 17 secs as the speedo will be a bit out - but Im very, very impressed! Im sure that mine isnt that quick (to the ton at least;)). Has the car ever had an engine re-build? I suspect some head...

Valver is a majorly different car to the RSi 1.8 - its not just a 16v head bolted onto a normal 1.8 bottom end like with the Golf GTi Mk2. I remember a Revs buying guide said the RSi had the same shell as the 16v - but that is complete bollards!
Basically, the RSi has a 1.8 8v 110bhp lump...

P.S. Difficult to get real power for cheap on these cars. Tuning NA high-output 16v engines is expensive and its not like a GT Turbo where you can get power just by tweaking and a chip. Induction kits will lose power/torque at low revs/low speed.
