the switch is needed im afraid. remove it and the lamp will remain on all the time unless you ground it out.
chances are its just the switch again but not all low oil pressure faults result in tapping or ticking noises.
Thats because a Focus, obviously, isnt a Clio.
The way all vehicles send information around the internal networks is very different even when you say compare an '03 Ford Focus to an '06 Mondeo. Software updates, network and infrastructure design mean that these generic bits of kit are generally...
It will be to do with how the Software/ELM interface reads and interpruts the data stream... this is why they say the software is not for commercial use but its proberbly handy to have.
Not quite that simple i'm afraid as the "bulb" is an SMD so not something you can easily change.
Firstly carry out a bulb test by putting the clockset into test mode. If it lights up the fault is with the ABS system or the cars wiring so needs to be checked. If however the bulb doesnt light up...
Oh dear :s
Nope, that doesnt mean much either im afraid unless its some crazy hex-code but i cant run that search from here (playbook) as i need my desktop PC.
Other than the lights what symptoms does the car have, if any?

Im in Nottingham... just want to pop it on the scope and see what the crank position sensor is doing to make it pop that code if the trigger pattern is right. Could be a money maker thats all lol
Personally i'd suggest you get a second opinion cos these things rarely end up being the components like the ECM and turn out to be wiring or CAN-Bus issues. Proper diagnostics are the key to cracking these issues and i've fixed my fair share of Clio II's that refuse to start with so called imob...
Oh i promise you they will still deploy! Everything bar the faulty component or trigger line.
The problem is the system isnt inspected or serviced... that will change now as from Jan '12 the SRS is now subject to MOT testing. Most people aren't aware that the SRS triggered components are...
What flywheel are they using to convert from? My current K4M unit in my Scenic was originally DMF and i converted that without any issue (I know parts are a little more available).
A faulty DMF can cause damage to things such as starter motor, clutch and slave assembly and the gearbox itself.
Deffo DMF issue then - worst things ever as customers think i'm on the make when I tell them how much they are and that they need it. Sympathies but what issues are people having fitting an SMF?
I've never done this... with me its always forgetting to reconnect the bloody clutch cable back up. The one thing i asked Luke/Boosh to do was make sure i did it and he failed to tell me of my fail when he came in for a full service and check up.
Are you sure that wasn't ASR on a BMW? Thats what zee germans tend to deploy as "traction control" which cuts engine power/torque to stop you over powering and spinning up the wheels. ESP doesnt control traction, thats the ASR/TC's job... on *most* vehicles ESP is nothing but an electronic...
No IACV on these, the throttle body is stepper controlled... similar principal though except idle condition is set/controlled by the ECM. As above, could indeed just need a clean but its the random factor that makes me think otherwise.
