Oh I dont know Mitchy.... the re-location pipe is a nice shiny bit of kit and an open filter might beef up the sound of his car a little. Wont gain you any power (you might actually loose a bit).
Pic of my 172 drivers seat. Leathers not smooth, but not exactly dimpled either!!

I bought my 172 from new-car-discount. I had to wait for fooking ages too.(has more to do with the backlog of orders caused by the factory shutdown than NCD though in all fairness).
I had to do all the chasing regards delivery times etc, not sure if theyd have even told me it was going to be...
Renault offered me £9500 for my 53 plate 172 with 9000 miles. But wouldnt discount a 182, and wanted £5k to swap!!! lol!!!

Salesman told me the top book was £9800...
Good thinking batman:D, I wasnt looking at it like that. I remember freds 1.2 on coilovers not being too far being the Cups/172s on display last time at Curborough, so it highlights how much difference a cars handling can make, despite a large power defecit...
I hope this happens, would be a...
lol... cant see him lasting too long on there either.... hes got a massive gripe with Phil Bennett for declaring the 182 to be the best hatch ever, thus eclipsing his beloved Williams. I dont think he gets out much.

No magic fairy dust.... Ive seen Yozs car and it is QUICK!! Would be interesting to pit it against a 190bhp MG..... all though my moneys still on the 1.2 Cup....
If we could get some timing gear, that would be great. Trouble is, with Curbrough being so short, there wouldnt be much difference between any car, never mind two which are pretty evenly matched on paper anyway imho....
For the record, my money would be on Freds 1.2....
Absolutely.
Cant find the curves myself either Matt!! They were from a Cliosport rolling road day some time back......
I know most people poke fun at the MG because they are based on an old design but does that immeadiately mean they are no good?? Not sure my self.....
ps 172 is better;)...
Clio 1.2 vs ZR160? Not much of a match really...;)

I wonder if Freds will be ready by then??....lol
easy peasy mate. Just pull off the plastic covers and undo the four Torx screws holding the speaker in place. Remove the speaker and pull off the cable connector (has a little clip on it that youll need to push in to pull it off). Simple!!
doh, too slow...

Erm the guy who put the 182 above the CTR, Focus ST170, MCS, Pug GTi 180 (dont think the ZR was considered a worthy opponent) is a proffesional driver still competing on the world stage. In fact, hes not long had a podium finish in a Saleen in the GTS class around the Nurburgring 1000kms.
But...
Fair play, we dont know anything about the guy. If he is a proffesional driver as such, then his opinions are very much in the minority. In fact hed be the ONLY proffesional driver Ive ever heard of putting the ZR above the Clio, in any department.
Im not a proffesional driver. Very average at best. I test drove the MG ZR 160 before I bought my 172 (first clue). Here are my thoughts.
1. The interior is worse than the Clio. The build quality and finish (beleive it or not!) are worse than the Clio.
2. The brakes were f**king gash. How...
lol... spot on. Theyre so transparent. It really gets their back up once they realise that you know more about the the car than they do. Once the harsh reality hits them that they cant fob you off with the usual bullsh*t, they run out of things to say!! I f**king hate salesmen!!
24 - 2 yrs NCB - 1 claim a few years back (write off) and Im paying £700 fully comp with Elephant.

Theres fook all between any of the Renaultsport Clios. More dependent on whether or not you have a good one than which model it is (MK1+2 172, Cup, 182, 182 Cup). My mates Cup doesnt pull an inch on my Mk2 172. Never tried it from standing start though. Struggle in the bends, but thats more...
