never had any broken linkages before.jack up the car and have a look,most of the linkage is easily visible underneath.check all linkage bolts are tight(espescially the pinch bolt adjustment part).there is a bolt behind the linkage gaitor on the gearbox as well.you may need to remove an exhaust...

exhausts are only covered in the 1st years warranty.they rot more from the inside now due to one of the cats main products/outputs is water

a willy manifold is a proper 4 branch performance designed manifold.i think the megane manifold is different to the williams.

has it got a sunroof?(blocked drain/channel).is the rear quarter window removable or bonded?

you can buy locking wheel nut remover socket sets now.see your local tool dealer

check the inner side of the brake discs for corrosion.is it from the rear brakes? wheel bearing perhaps? partially seized brake caliper?

most dealers will overlook mods unless its the mod that is causing the customer complaint.

have you checked steering and suspension parts for play/wear.

if the tyres worn on both outer and inner edges it could have been down to low tyre pressures

older imports only got one years warranty from new.but now renault have changed the policy and you should get three years warranty on imports

Good result,i knew that rod was ok to be missing and you got the pads half price.Why has it got normal 172 wheels on it? do you like them better? i cant make my mind up which ones i like best.

remove the dash top to access the alarm units.the smaller box is for the ultrasonics,turn down there sensitivity by turning the screw in the minus mark direction.i am assuming its a renault fit alarm.

they are for a multichanger and a sattelite control

renault state it is standard for the cup model not to be fitted with the link rod(tell your renault technician friend to look at technical talk number 43-october 2002,all the info is on there although it doesnt state why its missing).mines missing and ive never had any problems.due to the design...

if they said the pads were ok on a recent service then youve got a case because they were probably worn when the service was done and they should have picked it up

the extra click switch is used in cars with cruise control.it serves no purpose in any other cars.

the adjustment is done by a ratchet on the pedal.the green thing is just a stoppa.Is it a gen renault cable(ive had non gen cables do this to me before)

it is because the pedal is also used in cars with cruise control.the additional click is a switch that tells the computer that you are on full acceleration and to switch of cruise control.it does no purpose in cars without cruise control.

there was a reno mod many years ago.they fitted an extra bracket on the gearbox where the clutch cable is attached

some really extreme cams will only work with throttle bodies.your supplier should have told you if this was the case though.eg-the top kent cam only works with throttle bodies

make sure you get it all out.you dont wont bits of cat going down the rest of your exhaust because it could block it up

use a standard deep socket( i think there 14m) then pick them out of the holes with a pencil magnet.
