Yeah it's miles better than my old Fiesta's gearbox, but I find that they don't naturally slip into one-another. It seems that 3rd is slightly to the right of 4th, so I have manageed to crunch the gearbox when changing down just the once!

The older 172's didn't have the shift light I don't think, along with the alloy bonnet. Although mine's a W reg and has it... :S

With such low mileage I'd say you can get more mate, although it obviously depends how the engine is running and the condition of the bodywork and interior. If you're considering selling, I'd politely refuse and stick it on Autotrader for £5700/5800, and probably get £5500...

Admiral does seem rather random, but very cheap compared to other insurance companies and I think they will guarantee any quote for up to 60 days...

If you're into rock then you probably want a decent 10" sub mate, much punchier bass, which will pick up the strong rhythm better than the 12", which is a more 'boomier' bass that will drone on... A decent sub of any size will manage all bass levels well though. :)

Modifying bits like that won't necessarily put people off buying it, but it's not going to add any value. But if you like it, then go for it!

Maybe take it back to the same garage and explain what the problem is and see if they can sort it, obviously with no extra charge to you. I'm sure someone on here will have an idea what's wrong and how much you should be looking at. :)
