I was led to believe the New Clio will be out in early 2005.... but there will not be a Renaultsport variant until early 2006..... :-(

Ive had my 172 since November.... and apart from a passenger seat runner and a rattling drivers window, no major probs. Its been 5000 miles of trouble free (but rattly) motoring for me... touch wood....

From what I have read, the Citroen/Peugeot engines respond quite well to simple breathing mods such as an Induction Kit. The Clio on the other hand, especially the Renaultsport variants, gain very little in terms of peak power. This could be due to the airbox on the 172/182 already being a well...

I put mine on the back right-hand side of the rear window. Balances nicely with the Renault/Elf sticker on the other side....

It sucks really. Only known solution is to take easy in first gear when its wet. I booted mine in the wet yesterday.... sounded like my engine was trying to make its way in to the cabin.... BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!!!

He seems pretty pleased with it anyway...

Cruise Control and Speed limiter...

As below. Greasy fingerprints optional.. Very rare I turn mine off tbh. Only times Ive turned it off is when I want a quick take off from standing start (really bogs you down at the slightest hint of wheelspin). Also interrupts the bang bang bang bang when your wheels spin up in the wet...

Irs kind of a safety feature for the speed limiter. If you kickdown the accelerator, it turns off the limiter. Cruise control is interrupted by any action on the accelerator, brake or clutch....

Agreed.. looks the nuts... and looks a lot like the RS Megane bumper.... They should have put that bumper on the 182.....

My 172 sometimes seems to take a while to get going from slow second gear roundabouts..... but I wouldnt say it was hard to keep it on the boil otherwise.........

Ben mate, I would love to read it/see it. Never really had any interest in the internal combustion engine until I came on here. Theres a bit more to it than intake, compression, ignition, exhaust!! Im eager to learn!! ( go easy though!!)
