I adjusted my handbrake this weekend, but now the light is always on even when the handbrake is down. Have i over tightened it? I have slackened it off considerably, but light is still on. The rears aren't engaged as the wheels spin. (one spins more than the other, but the part where the cable...
was having a blast with my mate in ph-quick 172 and that was about the same. Slightly different gearing i think. gained/didn't at different stages in the rev range.
Had the car jacked up at the rear yesterday so put the car in gear. It was left like this over night. Lifted the front up and then did the rear and front lines. Once i finished, i took the car out of gear, turned it on, and the front disks turned. WTF? I even once i depressed the clutch it...
Sorry mate, not done it yet. Didn't finish it all last weekend as the rear discs didn't arrive. Finished off rear dics/pads today. Might be doing the lines also. I'll get it up asap though. Was just going to put it all into one big guide :)
Anthracite wheels, wider track (minute), michellin PE2's and a bigger spoiler i think.
Better handling and chassis set up. But you could get a none cupped one and put some coilies on it for the same effect.
Go for the trophy if you can find a good one for 6k.
Not too bothered about speed, thats what the 182 is for ;), just trying to save a few pennies really.
Insurance is nearly looking the same price as the car though. Any ideas?
Not sure if this is the right section, but here we go.
Decided to get a 106 diesel. Anyone got any words of wisdom. Problems to look out for etc? Its going to be for commuting to work (70mile round trip) to keep miles of the 182. Only looking at spending around 500quid.
What they like to...
Just the 4 bolts mate. Sometimes the wheels get stuck on good and proper. You might need to give it a kick, just have someone else there to catch the wheel. Try kicking from under the car. It will come loose eventually
you trying to make an r27r mate? Grinding off little bit wont make much difference i doubt. Remove the spoiler, no need for it ;) Change the glass to perspex. Race seats. Cage will add weight unless you spend some decent money on a lightweight one. Whats the long term plans for the beast?
Standard box with better CAFs and maybe an AM filter is probably just as good as the Maxogen and Pipercross tbh. The engine will only suck to a certain rate. So long as the air is cold thats where the benefits are coming from.
Have a look at the guide section mate. From what i've heard a few of the bolts (top mount) can be hard to get off. Why would you have to change the hubs? Have they been changed originally?
If your going to go the 182 route, pay a tenner and become a full CS.net member and view the buying guides so you get a good one. Recaro's are a must if you can find one with them. Very good for day to day comfort (I commute in mine) and hold well on the track. Look good too. Speed wise the 182...
springs should improve the handling quite a bit from what i've heard. I'd see how it feels once they have settled and if you're still not happy then maybe uprate the dampers for Koni or similar.
