cos i've been on track, drive it hard and have tried leaving it running for over half an hour and still no fan. Very strange. I've had other clios before (not RS) and the fans on them come on almost as soon as you turn the car off. Mine has never come on since i've had it.
Yes mate.
As said standard box, ITG or Ktec panel filter with better CAFs. Remove acoustic valve also if you have one. Its arguable whether the ph-quick airbox is better.
^^can't see that one mate? You got the direct link?
Every little helps ben ;) Think burps was 3kg lighter from memory. Looking at a few cheap weight saving things for this summer. Mini project for an excuse to get outside.
Ouch, didn't expect it to be that much :S Is there any other alternatives? I think Burp put one into his 172, but can't remember where it was from/off?
Re: Project 172:Unknown Direction
looks cool mate. Especially like the 1.2 dash in there. Why they didn't do that in the first place is beyond me. Looks miles better.
what is the stuff you're trying to remove? Is it different to the stuff that others have removed when lightening their cars? Thougth you just use a heat gun and scraper?
If its anything like the underseal on the car, try autosmart tardis. Spray on and leave to soak. removes tar in seconds, so...
is it the sliders that move when they are loose or the bolts themselves? Mine seemed to be fine once regreased yeah. You're not losing anything by giving them a look. Hour job tops.
What made you notice they weren't sliding in the first place?
The nuts should be tight mate, so loosening will make no difference really. You'll need to remove the slider pins and regrease them. Really easy to do. Remove disc/carrier to make it easier. If they are like mine the boots might be worn, but couldn't work out how to remove them so just regrease...
