around 7k  Remember the power on these is higher up the scale than the g, i had a punto turbo before, and it took me ages to get used to the revvy nature of the engine.
looks really well though. Its like me, mines slammed down, looks mint but probably too much for where i live, and for b road thrashes... its a trade off though
think gearboxes are a reflection on how much mechanical sympathy the owners show it. I've had mine sice 30k, now its on 62 (owned 2yrs) and is fine, nothing to worry about imo
dont think cambelts are that hard to do, its just all the aircon stuff in the way!!! Cups dont have this problem though ;)
howdy :)
for a decent phase 1 172, you will be looking to pay anything from 4k onwards imo, you can still get early cars with low milage. The sport engines seem very good on high milage, headgasket failiure seem very few and far between, never heard of one on here tbh. My car has done 62k...
clunk comming from drivers side whilst comming to a stop, doesnt do it in drive, or starting off, just when pulling up to a junction :S Seems either suspension or bottom arm related, but all appear ok? (2002 172 cup)
any clues?
well if there was i'd buy it. I heard an st 150 fiesta the other day, sounded nice in stock form, better than the 172/182. Exhaust had a nice note to it
look at all these aftermarkets out there, i bet 90% of them give no gains, and actually loose you power I'm sure that a few peeps have done before and after on the rolling roads and gained nothing. Granted the O.E exhaust is made from kitkat rappers, but imo are pretty good
