are these thinner than a usual 172?
mine is compleatly fooked, its cracked from the pssenger side, all the way to the drivers :dead:
just need to know before i get it replaced, want to make sure its the right one i get fitted

aye, top draw, mine meed a spruce up after some serious curbage in the summer,:o (seemed to have some very bad luck-especially involving a broken locking wheelnut key :() once all the grit/salt is gone off the roads i'll be giving you a tinkle ;)

£37 inc vat, they are replacement bushes, that are pressed into the existing aluminium bar,(they need pressing in by a garage-ten min job)
fitting is a piece of piss
it also (along with moving the driver side engine mount forward) cured all the banging i used to get in 1st and 2nd gear...
also just to add i think it looks ok imo, glad they got rid of the tacky chrome, think if you parked it next to a standard new shape, it'll look alot better, abit like a standard mk2 phase 2 172 looks like a dynamique to some people..... but park em together and the differences stand out...
yep, the bit that bolts through the trailing arm, its been modded so you lose the nut that sits under the spring locator, this makes it another 10mm-ish lower. Mine just bolt up from underneath
