The garage probably did use the timing tools... but on the crank webb there are holes drilled for balancing, its very easy to lock the bottom end in these holes instead of the TDC hole! something to be carefull of
No need to get touchy mate.. the point is a garage should no better than to change a belt without doin the tensioner. Wether they are cost cutting or not its still not right is it?
