i think what u should do if u have concerns is pay for an inspection on the car prior to a potentially wasted long journey rather than phoning a previous owner. sounds like your being just a tad paranoid, people sell cars for lots of reasons, majority of the time just because they want a change.
belts need doing this year really want a set of these cams so i can kill 2 birds with one stone and get some more power. hoping my ppi claim comes in soon!!!
because the top mounts i have are shot, knocking like f**k so instead of getting standard ones i went for solid ones, couldnt justify another 100 notes on a strut brace as i said for town driving
lots. scoobs, standard then spent thousands modifiying them then sold them about a year or less later costing me over 3k for the depreciation and mods alone.
exactly. why does the itg maxogen not have any caf? because it doesnt need it, plenty of cold air from behind the headlight. the noise is worth it alone anyway without the caf, sounds great, nice gruff growl which gets louder and angrier as the revs rise!
my ph1 has standard airbox with both caf removed and a k&n element and it sounds superb and feels no different to the maxogen i had on before which imo was a waste of money.
i have one on my ph1. probably the best and cheapest mod u can fit that actually makes a difference u can feel to the car. really tightens up the cornering, feels much sharper, proper go kart now. highly recommended.
i picked up a nicely matched lower inlet a while back for my ph1 which apparently have the worst castings, in all honesty didnt notice any difference, but lets face it at best they will give u a couple of extra bhp which u will never notice anyway, but my car does drive nicely and pulls well...
im 38 and have a ph1 172, great little car, had a few clios over the years, a williams, clio 172 cup, clio 1.8 16v, i appreciate a good fun car for little money. :-)
yeah was thinking birchdown or rs tuning in leeds but cant be bothered with the trek. might hold off till later next year, probably have sold it by then getting the itch for something else again.
yeah so does mine, checked the paperwork and it was done in 2007 at around 75k its now on 108k but time wise its over 4 years, thinking of using swr in stirling they quote £380 for both belts etc. fitted.
yeah old pic. just put that exhaust back on as the ktec stealth supersport was doing my head in sooo loud and drony. yeah will of had it a year in 2 weeks time. got hold of an alloy bonnet for it which is mint just needs painting and getting some pure motorsport solid top mounts as they are...
another vote for ktec stealth supersport. sounded shite, droned like mad, drove me mad, took it off after few months, now enjoying the sound of my ph1 airbox with no air feeds and can actually hear myself think.
