ill be ordering some soon too cause my ph1 has started knocking from one of my top mounts., probably go for the pure motorsport ones with the integrated strut brace.
here we go again.........................posting this type of thread on here will result in the following, drive 4 hours to either btm, birchfield, or danny, or ur car will break. u have been warned.
everybody should know by now, the clio f4r is the most complex engine known to man, and only 3 specialist garages who post on here can change a cambelt, otherwise ur timing will be out, or ur engine will implode. jeeeez.............still, letting a "mate" do it for u. oh dear.
iv got one too. a few on this forum. although they are very rare. i never even see any other ph1 172 on the road around edinburgh never mind a flamer. :cool:
u sure? have u done it? measuring the width briefly tonight the bonnet is a fair bit wider than the boot? got a 2 and half hour drive to pick it up so really need to make sure it does or im fucked.
for my son.....he just passed his test this week, and found a lovely ph1 1.2 in white local, 60k, family owned, massive service history etc, drives spot on. now we have 2 ph1 in the family, along with my flamer 172. hes already talking about getting some alloys for it, lol. will keep my eye...
hi mate, i have a stainless stealth exhaust that was on my ph1 172, no idea what make it is, but it was pretty quiet, i replaced it with a ktec supersport, anyway its in my garage, so if ur interested let me know, im in edinburgh so not too far away either.
ill be honest if i had the cash id sell mine tomorrow and get a proper car, has to be said though for the money i dont think u can get a better fun car, especially the ph1 which i have, stupidly cheap these days.
i get bored with cars, i mod them, spend too much on them, then get the itch for something else, and start all over again. its like how u get bored with women and want to shag different ones. :p
do rs tuning do servicing etc and cambelts? thought they did just mapping and tuning work such as supercharging and stuff. would be good to know as they are a lot closer than birchdown or btm for us scottish folk.
hmmmm, odd because iv got a slight knocking coming from the front and i suspected top mount, took it to my mates garage and put it on the ramp and checked everything obvious and couldnt see anything that would cause the knock so im wondering if mine is maybe doing the same? its nothing major...
saw the white clio, also was standing at the hairpin as the white evo rolled coming down the back straight. thankfully both occupents seemed to be ok, which is more than can be said for the evo. was a bad one.
unfortunately not mate. boy i sold it to wrote it off, put it into a ditch. was a thread on williamsclio.co.uk with pics of it. gutted. was a few years back now.
williams looks really nice, arches look mint, where did u pick it up from? how much did u pay if u dont mind me asking? used to own a mint williams 3 a few years back and i loved it. mine had a hill power stage 1 conversion, and magnex full system and decat and it sounded immense.
