not great brakes on 1*2s, but they'll do for road normally (unless you really beaning it round somewhere like milton keynes with loads of roundabouts in quick sucession.)

decats do make a performance difference you will feel IMO Nothing dramatic, but cost effective for sure.
Unsilenced decats flow better, TBH, if you want a silenced one, Knock the sh1t out of the cat you have and buy a scrap spare.
i'd agree with that. May get away with 15 at the back. Standard 172FF looks like it needs spacing too so don't be afraid to get some fairly big spacers on it.
I hate 197s untill they have 25mm spacers on em personally.
best tip i have is to remove the balljoint bolt out the hub (the big cast metal bit behind the disc) as you have done, then get a MEATY flathead screw driver and use it to pry apart the hub where the ball joint slots in. With the bolt removed the flathead can be used to lever the hub apart...
if you don't want lights. Don't plug in the downstream lambda. Just plug the hole with a suitable bolt.
Leave the downstream lambda on the loom bagged up somewhere neat.
